They are offering him new deals. This is his agent trying to get even more on top of what have been described as already 'lucrative' offers.

Joey Barton is an easily influenced man & his agent is taking advantage of arguably his best season as a footballer. Newcastle, well Chris Houghton in particular, had faith in Barton after all his troubles & this is how he re pays them? Poor form.
