News!

Premiership team Liverpool have just completed 2 new signings, after alot of negotiations they have managed to secure the signature's of 2 promising youngsters Romelu Lukaka & Vicenzo Fiorillo.
They have paid a fee of £6 Million with £4 Million to be payed over 12 months for the signature of Romelu Lukaka, where as they paid a very little sum of money for Fiorillo. Which is thought to be around the £230K mark.

Lukaka will join the merseyside club on the 1st of january 2010, where as Fiorillo will join after the 2009/10 season due to his current loan.

More Coming Soon!

Decent start mate, As I was reading through Looking at the goal scorers I was thinking wow he gets alot of goals in the first 5 minutes then I realised it was how many they'd scored!XD

October

Liverpool have 2 big games coming up this month and 3 average games.
Liverpool will be hoping to pick up atleast 8 points this month with any more being a bonus.

There fixtures see them playing Man Utd away, Fulham at home, CSKA Moscow Away, Sunderland Away & Arsenal Away.

Star Player's Fernando Torres & Pepe Reina are currently out injured leaving there only replacements David N'gog & Diego Cavalieri getting there first start's of the season.

Liverpool 3 - 3 Man Utd

GoalScorer's - N'gog, Gerrard & Aquilani

The first rival game for new manager Ricky Tait didnt get off to a great start with UTD's new signing Marek Hamsik putting them off to a flyer with a goal on 3 minutes, Ex-Liverpool star Michael Owen put UTD 2-0 up on the the 26th minute.
It didnt take long for Liverpool to get a response with a goal from Ngog 7 minutes later.
Liverpool made a sub at half time with Thiago being replaced with Aquilani.

Liverpool looked alot better second half with Gerrard getting the equaliser on the 70th minute.
With the game looking like it's ending in a draw, Mame Biram Diouf pop's up and scores on the 86th minute.
As stoppage time was nearly over Aquilani score's a crucial goal on the 93rd minute.

Man of the Match was Liverpool captain Gerrard.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Fulham

GoalScorer's - Aquilani

Liverpool dominated the game from the start having 15 shots on target and 56% possesion. The only goal came on the 66th minute from a long powerful strike by Aquilani.

Man of the Match was replacement goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri

Liverpool 1 - 0 CSKA Moscow [Champions League]

GoalScorer - Maxi Rodriguez

Liverpool were still without star players Torres & Reina and to add insult to injury Steven gerrard has been ruled out of the game with a bruised rib.

Maxi Rodriguez was in the right place at the right time to score a simple tap in from close range on the 31st minute.
Liverpool came close again before half time hitting the bar from a long shot by Babel.

In the second half Liverpool were still pressing hitting the woodwork another 2 more times.

Man of the Match was goalscorer Maxi

Liverpool 1 - 1 Sunderland

GoalScorer - Dirk Kuyt

Liverpool dominated most of the game with 61% possesion in there favour.
On form player Maxi went off injured in the 45th minute with Dirk Kuyt making only his second appearance of the season.

Darren Bent scored for Sunderland on the 52nd minute, making all liverpool's possesion meaning nothing.
The goal was Sunderland's only attempt on target.
Liverpool equalised through super sub Kuyt on the 64th minute with a real poacher's goal.
The game ended at 1-1 with Liverpool ruing there missed chances.

Man of the Match was Liverpool's defensive midfielder Mascherano.

Liverpool 0 - 1 Arsenal

Ricky Tait's second rival game has come in the same month as his first, he got through the first one with a good result. He was hoping for the same today.

The game was just like any average game, both teams were getting a bit fiesty.
Aquilani had to go off injured from a late challenge by Vermaelan.

Liverpool came out at half time looking for some success, but all they got was a red card for Glen Johnson after 2 yellow cards.
With the game looking to finish as a bore draw, Andrey Arshavin knicks a late goal for the london club.

Man of the Match was Liverpool's goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

October was at the end and the Liverpool manager will be glad for it to have finished.
Liverpool only picked up 5 out of a possible 12 points.

November

In November Liverpool have to play 2 crucial CL games which are must win games. But they havent done to well in the competition so far, so Tait will be hoping November will bring better things.

Liverpool 2 - 0 CSKA Moscow [Champions League]

GoalScorer's - Babel, Gerrard

Goalkeeper Pepe Reina returned from injury while Torres could only make the bench. For the second time this month Liverpool took the game to there oppositons having 24 shots while there opponents only managed 4 shots with 0 on target.

First goal came from Babel on the stroke of half time, Gerrard then made it 2-0 on the 65th minute, both goals came from good moves by the midfield players.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Wolves

GoalScorer's - Gerrard, Kuyt

Liverpool were host's against newly promoted side Wolves, Surely a win was on the cards for the reds!
Liverpool were attacking very hard and all that work paid off when captain Steven Gerrard poked in a goal on the 30th minute.
Fernando Torres went off injured AGAIN after his first start from his last injury.
Dirk Kuyt scored a very well taken half volley.
With Liverpool looking to walk away with a good win, Kevin Doyle scored to put the pressure back on.

Liverpool were able to hold on and win 2-1.

Man of the Match was dutch international Dirk Kuyt

Liverpool 1 - 1 Hull

GoalScorer - Torres

A rather boring game saw Hull take a well earned point against title contenders Liverpool.
Liverpool took the lead through Fernando Torres on the 46th minute.
Hull got the equaliser with a goal from Hesselink.

Man of the Match was Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill

Liverpool 1 - 2 FC Kobenhavn [Champions League]

GoalScorer - Carragher

After the first game which saw Kobenhavn take an unlikely victory, Liverpool needed a win in the return fixture to keep them in hope of getting past the group stages of the CL.

Liverpool took the lead through unlikely goalscorer Jamie Carragher.
Kobenhavn made a good start after the break with a goal through EX-Chelsea player Jesper Gronkjaer.
Kobenhavn were piling on the pressure when Gronkjaer came up with another goal.

Liverpool were pressing on, but time was running out for them as they saw a shot from Gerrard hit the bar.

Man of the Match was the goalscorer Gronkjaer

Liverpool 2 - 1 Portsmouth

GoalScorer's - Benayoun, Insua

Debt ridden portsmouth were looking for results on the pitch rather than off the pitch.
Kevin-prince Boateng got them off to a flyer after just 11 minutes.
Liverpool went on to have 21 shot's in the game and just 6 on target.

Luck didnt look to be on Liverpool's side until Benayoun scored in the 73rd minute.
Portsmouth were happy to take a draw.
Referee Chris Foy then gave a penalty to Liverpool on the 86th minute, Insua calmly stepped up to put it away and give Liverpool a deserved 3 points.

Man of the Match was Boateng

November saw Liverpool take 7 out of a possible 9 points in the league, where as it saw there hopes of getting through the CL stages get alot tougher with them needing a win in there last game to give them hope of going through.
