1. Click on the player, then "Training", then "Overview". On the third drop down menu it says "New Position". You just click the one you want and the player begins working on that position.

2. That's up to you, but a lot of people download Tug's training schedules. You could probably Google them and find them quite easily.

3. Again, that's up to you and what suits your team best, but I'm sure there are lots of tactics you can use from this site.

4. Player guides all over the place on here!

To retrain a players position just go onto their profile. Then click on Training > Overview and choose their new position...

As for the other stuff you have asked. Have a quick look on the forum and you should find plenty of good tactics & players.

How do I import a downloaded tactic & is there a particular location I should save it to?

Yes.

In My Documents (or just 'Documents' on Vista), then Sports Interactive, then Football Manager 2009, and then stick it in the 'tactics' folder in there. And if there isn't one, make one and put your tactic in.

Once you load up FM, you go to edit tactics on the 'Tactic' drop down menu and click Import. The game will automatically look in the folder you just created, and if it doesn't, then you know where it is now.
