benteke massively underperforming?

In 16 games he's scored 5 goals, and for benteke this is really poor. What can I do to get him scoring? I've tried him everywhere, my current tactic has him as a target man with two wingers smashing balls into the box..

You want your wingers to float the crosses in, not smash them

i used smashing as a term that we were sending loads of balls into the box haha

Benteke massively under performed for me in the first season I brought him, this season he's improved though, scoring six goals in eight appearances in the league, seven goals out of eleven in total, first season I had him he scored thirteen goals in thirty six appearances.

I bought him for my Southampton team, and he has been great so far. Scored 18 league goals in his first season. In my second season, he has scored 4 in 3 games so far. No concerns.

BTW, my Southampton team has been magnificent for me using my tactics. Won the league in my second year with the team, and lost in the CL finals on penalties to PSG.

So unrealistic that you won the Premier League with Southampton in your second season, I bet my team is better than yours and the best i've achieved is a third place finish, Benteke has been great for me so far this season, here are his stats:

It may be unrealistic, but they have a lot of cash and I overhauled the entire team by selling most of my stars. And I won it. My tactics are the key.
