Berbatov Retires After 1st Season

but still hes only 31! and it says on his player info hes looking forward to recovering from his injury
 
I've seen it happen. I had a 21 year old player retire after breaking his leg in my save.

With Cardiff atm and Craig Conway broke his leg in September, he's out until Feb and he spoke to me and told me he is considering retiring... he's 28 or something.

Sometimes these injuries are hard to recover from. Remember Chris Coleman?

He's not far off 32, which is getting on for a striker at Manchester United, he has knackered his leg up big time and it could be somthing to do with him only being "fairly ambitious" and has a 10 work rate (not sure about the last bits but you know :P )

I know I would rather end a career at Man United than struggling to come back from a broken leg to end up at a much lesser club.

He even retired from internationals quite early
 
Tim Cahill retired after 1st season on my save and he was never even injured
 
he's a good player to tutor youngsters so once he gets back off injury try and get him to reconsider, strange though he retired

and also Dean Ashton too. remember him ?

idealy, some severe long term injures in fm can make the player flop or retire to sometimes. thats whats happening in my psg save with Kevin Gameiro. guy cant score a goal now :( :'(

I feel your pain. Around February of my 1st season in my Liverpool save, Suarez tore his cruciate ligaments (out for 13months) and he was never the same.
 
Simon Vukcevic on my Blackburn save is class IF, played 1 game at start of season out for 10month stats dropped so bad!! i hes doing okay on wing now but can tell hes never gonna be a goal and assist machine again :( sooo saddddd cant even cash in on him any more!! **** u FM12!! lol
