Best center-backs in the game?

I know most of us will sign attacking players for huge amounts of money but will you do the same for defenders?
Who do you think are the best defenders in the game? Stopper / Cover roles
 
BTW keep your eye out for the CB regens. I found a lot of amazing regens are CBs.
 
Yes I will spend just as much money on defense and attack when it is required. I will not skimp out on defense as you can't win anything if you concede 3 goals a game.
 
I am Man Utd and still have Ferdinand who is losing it and Vidic, should i get Chiellini for 20million?
 
try get someone younger. Papadopolous from Schalke is, in my opinion, the best young CB in the game.
Then of course you still have Smalling and Jones
 
Phil Jones develops into a fantastic covering defender. Importantly, he has great pace and acceleration to match it with some of the faster forwards and his overall abilities helps him play the ball out of defense.
 
Emir Spahic has been amazing for me, scored a hattrick against real madrid. musacchio, adil rami, botia, benatia and samba are also brilliant defender
 
Vidic, Thiago Silva, and Pique is the best..But, the best you can sign is Nicolas Otamendi. Defensively he almost as good as Vidic, and faster than Hummels. His only weakness is aerial but you can just easily pair him with 190cm giant (Kara springs to mind)
 
Alvaro Dominquez - Beast, I'll second Phil Jones, but also Godins good. I'll also agree with there seems to be loads of quality regen CB, I had 4 in a man u save all 4 stars, made a fortune, developing and selling due to me not needing them.
 
Otamendi, Thiago silva, Varane, Phil Jones .... best in the business ..
u can even hv almunia at goal n stil concede not more than 10 to 15 goals the ful season .....
