Goalkeepers are often looked past in Football Manager 2010, but a good keeper could be vital in your teams performance. They are the rock of the defence and a good goalkeeper could prove valuable throughout the season as he saves shot upon shot. Here we have put together a list of the best goalkeepers in FM2010 which will start of a series looking at each position in some detail.

Just had a good possible addition to the list via a comment. Alex Smithies a young English goalkeeper who you can pick up for around £1m.

I have checked out his stats and he looks like he could become a really good goalkeeper so will add him to the post.

Any of you have any other suggestions?
 
Luis Guilherme (will become a good GK)
Itumeleng Khune (Fairly good player)
 
Atrur Boruc he's class for me when ever i sign him.
 
Oscar Ustari, he has a minimum fee release clause of £5.25m from Getafe, he's fairly young and is very consistant although his stats aren't brilliant.

the list i made is Lesser known Gk's (Gomes is Fantastic, IRL and in FM, awesome stats, but everyone knows about him)
 
I have Diego Alves for my derby team in premiership , he is absolutely unbelievable , saving shot after shot and he gets me a few points with his ability . Highly recommend this lad

Just noticed he's there on the list but i recommend him none the less

Nice list raikan your work with finding players is exceptional
