Best LB?

I am in need of a good LB, I am arsenal and about to start the 2014-15 season.

Santos is old and not good enough for my team, I have Gibbs but I need another player for that position.

I have looked at Alaba but they are asking for too much so I need another RB. They need to be at most 26. Price would be at most £20mil.

Any suggestions will be great, thanks!
 
I'm in a similar situation too. Although i'm one season further than you. I suggest looking for Regens as most players will either be at the prime now, with an excessive asking price or be too old for their asking price.

i find consistently that DL is the hardest posi for most FM's
trutruworld class DL's are rare (Lahm for e.g.)

think the regen idea is best option at your stage and price point
 
How about Davide Santon?

And if you can't find decent regens at this point, you might want to look at ages 27+ for the time being - browse transfer-listed players often, or try unsettling one. I managed to get a transfer-listed Kolarov for a bargain, to buy me time to find a decent regen. Though he frustrated me with injuries as much as Gibbs -_-
 
There aren't any good regens at this point, Newcastle want too much for Santon. I will probably look at the older players that will last me this season then have a look at the regens next transfer window. Thanks for your help everyone.

why dnt you just get fabio from manchester united,can get him on loan until good regens come through....
 
Play Gibbs! I pulled out of contract negotiations with Baines in the transfer window because I needed to spend elsewhere, and is probably the best decision I have made so far on FM! :D

Gibbs gets injured quite a lot, most of the other players mentioned where asking too much, Fabio is at Real Madrid and they want too much and won't accept a loan.

In the end I was looking around and found Schmelzer who plays for Dortmund and got him for £6mil and he's pretty good for his price as well.

Luiz Gustavo is actually really good LB on FB - Def. Signed Capoue who got injured and had to get new player also and found out that Gustavo can be bought for 12m

Sold Santos and intended Vermaelen as backup LB. --> Gibbs and Vermaelen both got injured. Enter Gustavo and he never left the spot.
