In person I'll do..
There's been a few classic matches at Home Park, probably too many too name them all. For me it dates back to March 2010, when we played Bristol City. It was an important match towards the bottom of the table, and a good chance to make some ground to that all important 21st place.
We soared into a 2-0 lead. Chris Clark volley against the ground, and then Bradley Wright-Phillips overhead kick, his first goal for the club. At half-time we must of been feeling confident, 2-0 up, and putting in a commanding shift. But then 2 goals from Bristol City in the 2nd half, totally changed that. We was back in the mire. The trap down had closed on us, we was as good as down.
The nerves at Home Park grew and grew, worry and fear spread amongst. Had we really blew a 2-0 lead at home? The game hit the 93rd minute, and Bristol City failed to clear a corner. There was one man who could smash that in, and it was super Carl Fletcher. 3-2. Survival fight back on, Home Park erupted. But it wasn't all over. With seconds left, our keeper David Stockdale spilled a simple cross and it took a heart-stopping clearence. Stockdale was then involved in a bust-up with Damien Johnson, our CM, at the end of the match...
A truly great game, how football should be played- Attack, Attack, Attack with the Last Minute Drama and Passion. Something you really can't replicate when watching it on TV
