Best Player Roles - MUFC

I was wondering if I could help. I'm playing as Manchester United, but my squad is under performing, especially Rooney who hasn't scored in a while. I was wondering what the best roles e.g. wide midfielder attack / full back automatic etc are for the following players.
Rafinha, Evra, O'Shea
Valencia, Tosic, Vucinic, Scholes, Giggs, Fletcher, Hargreaves, Carrick, Anderson, Park
Berbatov, Rooney, Owen, Dzeko.

this is what i normally do with utd

Full backs-- AUTO
CBS- central defenders

CMS( fletcher)-- Ball winner
CMS( anderson)-- Box to box

Wingers

Rooney-- Deep lying
Berbatov-- Advanced

Concur with scott, but I'll put Rooney as a complete forward, while Berba as a Targetman, ball to feet and dribbling set to often..

Carrick can act as a Deep-Laying Playmaker too. Team instructions would be:

Philosophy: Fluid
Starting Strategy: Attacking
Creative Freedom, Closing down, Roaming, Tackling... all set to more.

i had the same problem finding a good team when i was united and this one worked well for me

for me i put rooney as poacher along side aguero as deep lying forward..rooney as now scored 25 goals in 22 games
