Alot of the time the best refs are the ones that go unnoticed and keep a game flowing and only have to stop a game if necessary. That would have been ****** hard to do with the Dutch last night for any ref.

i would say the Portuguese ref was good as well
he was part of a Portuguese football scandal a couple of years back
i was shocked when he was called by Fifa

The referee is part of the show, part of the drama. It’s only a problem when there is no justice to be served that inserting authority becomes problematic. However, the opposite it true also.
