Hey there. Have a question: what's the best overall squad personality to have?

To answer this, I suppose I'll need to know what the differences are between the big ones like Ambitious, Determined, Sporting, Professional etc, but I need some real insights into them besides vague descriptions. I'll need to know how they behave in-match and out-match.

But overall, is squad personality really a big deal when it comes to winning games? If so, what's the best one to have/ for what league situations would each one be best suited for?

Best,
J

determined/very determined: the team would work harder to get back into the game if you're trailing.

ambitious: some players would want to move to bigger clubs if they cannot achieve great things at their current club.

professional: lesser chances of unprofessional behaviour should they be unhappy.

sporting: ball would be cleared out of play should there be any injuries to anyone.

this is just my guess though. i personally prefer to mould a very determined squad :)

I don't know about squad personality, but players that my assisstant says are determined seem to respond very well to "expect a performance" type team talks. A determined striker is a great sub as they tend to deliver goals when u really needs them

I think ambitious has more to do with the training of the players though. I noticed by using Genie Scout that players that are ambitious seems to be improving much more than unambitious ones. It might be because the players has more ambition to succeed than others. That being said, they are surely more easily upset if they cannot win anything at their current club and some other bigger clubs come calling.

Determined is probably best for on the pitch performance. I don't think ambition or professionalism affect gameplay at all. In terms of management though, ambitious players are more likely to want to succeed (not only through leaving your club but if you are already a big club they will want to stay and help win trophies) and also to complain if they aren't getting enough games. Professional players probably cause the least amount of problems. I think you should try and get form a squad with all three attributes very high. Can't say much about sportsmanship because I'm not sure what it actually impacts.
