Who are you? It will differ from team to team
 
sign Chinese players with large rep as they will boost sales massively

A players reputation is displayed in their player profile(National, Continental, World Class, Etc). Nationality also has a bit to do with it of course as i signed Lee at time when his reputation was at National and i still got a message from my chairman saying shirt sales will increase.
 
Virtually all well-known Asian players.
David Beckham gets you plenty of £££££ through merchandise sales.
 
HONDA!!! Signed for Dortmund and sales in Japan 'sky rocketed' according to my board and the media. Top Top player aswell would be a perfect fit next to lampard in the Chelsea team!!!!!
 
Can you see how much shirt sales go up after you buy for example Beckham?
 
I think if you go onto your finances screen , it will show you the increase of income thanks to merchandise(which is basically shirts)
 
The beckham option sounds interesting. He should be very cheap and merchandise sales might very well be much more than you pay him
 
You don't need merchandising sales you have Abramovich!!

Playing as Chelsea, signed Park Ji-Sung sales increased.

As do with almost all Asian players.
 
i signed a North Korea player (forgot his name) on a free, with 85 Caps, and i didnt get an information on a boost in shirt sales, i havent checked the finances as of yet, although i will at the end.
 
As others have mentioned, probably the only Asian player good enough for your side would be Honda. He's top.

He's my main target for next season for Bolton.
