i have £5M need to stregthen squad, strikers aren't scoring many, leading 2 goal scorers are in midfield with 5, defences is leaking like a hole in a drain pipe, help!

first thing that screams out is your strikers are VERY similar, and wont really compliment each other very well...

Like Botty said try a different striker combination or try out a new tactic.
As for players, Sime Vrsalijko to replace Stephen Carr in the future.
