Bit more information on tactics

I'm struggling desperately with tactics me and my friends that play the game can't seem to master the tactics bit I've got a tactic that i can score two and even more a game but still end up losing and a tactic were i can keep a clean sheet but can't score myself but on odd occasions lose 1-0.

I'm a person that likes to manage teams that aren't big as the likes of Man Utd Chelsea etc and i've read on here off someone that you need to build a squad round your best player which seems on the right lines but i don't fully understand how i can do that.
Any feedback i wud be grateful for. Thanks

Never build a squad around one player, teamwork and working as a single unit is key in the championship, league 1 etc etc, make sure all your defenders are set to a defend duty, if your struggling, play rigid, Control, short passing, closing down, aggressive tackling, man marking and float crosses. Play 4-4-2, the 2 strikers should be a target man with a support duty and a poacher, the target man will flick balls on to the WINGERS and the POACHER, play with winger attack duties, dont use opposition instructions or specific player instructions, read Bubbabaytunas guide to teamtalks on the sportsinteractive forums, if this doesnt work sorry, if your struggling you should play more defensive like i posted here

If in doubt default everything when making your tactic. Then buy players with the most important 2 attributes in every position.

GK Handling and Reflexes
FBs support: Tackling and Marking
CBs Defend: Heading and Marking
Wingers Attack: Dribbling and Crossing
CM defend: Passing and tackling
CM support: Passing and creativity
Target man support: Heading and Strength
Poacher Attack: Finishing and Composure

Try not to built your team too quickly,buy 2 or 3 first team player a year,younger players for your youth team doesnt matter.
