im playing a game as hull city as i wanted a bit of a challenge. in my first season i signed keirrison (brazillian wonderkid) in the first year i finished 17th in the premier league but in my second season the team has really come together and i am second in the league 6 points behind man utd and i play them in 2-3 games time. keirrison is on fire this season scoring more than a goal a game, but the january transfer window comes along and im trying to keep my best players so i can challenge for the one of the top four places, and liverpool make a 13 million bid + clauses for keirrison, i reject this but then man utd make a 16 million + clauses bid and the board accept the transfer as too good of an offer to refuse. is there anything you can do to stop the transfer going ahead? there isnt even an option where i can go mental with the board of directors which is what i want to do at the moment haha

Try offerin him a new improved contract and maybe he will stay.

can you not cancel the deal at the last minute even if it was accepted by your board? if not, offer him a contract or start looking for replacements im afraid!

yea as david said i thought u could cancel it

you cant cancel them, its like when a club matches a minimum release fee, I'm afraid you'll have to offer a new contract and fingers crossed he'll accept your offer.

i never tried to cancel it do you go to player screen and try to terminate it? i cant offer him a new contract because i rejected the offer from liverpool and he wanted to go to a bigger club

I no its cheating but add a new manager as the man utd manager and it will get canceled :P

Just give him the best contract you can with the biggest signing on fee, this time with a release clause, when im a small team if ever i sign a great player or a wonderkid i ALWAYS put a minimum fee clause, normally huge but reasonable.

nope cant cancel just have too give him improved contract like the others said

U can cancel it but he'll be unhappy and he don't wanna play. I have that problem, I offer a big contract and "pray" to accept. If he accept, after that other managers try to unsettle him, than send him on loan. I've do that and only on that way i keep my youngster star. Omar Benzerga :)
Cheers(H)

this happened to me with alex teixeira and andraz kirm in my leeds save. i couldnt reject or cancel them and offering him a contract did nothing.

cheating sucks man! just play it to reality end of the day thats a realistic scenario 16m in the bank isvery good for a club like hull and the payer will under perform if he stays with you as he knows top clubs are after him

There is a trick you can use to make him stay,

Put him on transferlist for 55 million and set hes status on unusefull or something like that, skip 2 days and remove him from the transferlist and set hes status back to keyplayer or starplayer w.e.

He should be happy now and willing to sign a new contract,if this doesnt work try it again over and over always worked for me.

Only problem is you do have to do this every now and then because there is no way the big clubs will leave a star player alone.

i'd cheat ;) only jokin16 mil isalot check out dani aquino

This is kind of like SSJ's theory, but mine actually makes sense.

Offer him to clubs for a price you would accept £30M+? Then either somebody offers you this rediculous ammount, or he stays (make sure it transfer lists him when you offer him out). Then take him off the transfer list, and put his transfer status on whatever you like, he should now be happy..

I know it's a bit late for that but this is just for anyone who has a star who's looking to leave :P

Yup works like a charm

happened with me on my man utd file when madrid bid 25 + clauses = 35mil for patrice evra nothing i could do as he wouldnt accept new contract cos he wanted to go madriid

Offer him a mega-contract and pray he accepts.

If you're not a cheater than your best bet is to start looking for a replacement... consider Henri Saivet :)
