Board trying to sign player

So, after I trying to sign Dzeko for my Tottenham side and failing, I asked the board to help out. They accepted and proceeded to reserve almost my entire transfer budget. Then... nothing happened. The transfer period passed, I never heard from Dzeko or the board again on the issue and the money is still missing. I managed to sell a player and bring another one in later in the transfer period, but that doesn't negate the fact that I have neither Dzeko nor the money he'd cost me.

So the question is: How does this whole thing work? Should I wait? Will they buy him (or try to) in the next transfer period? Is there a way for me to check how the negotiations are going?

I tried declaring interest for Dzeko in the media, but as far as he was concerned there wasn't even an offer from the Spurs to discuss at the time.

haha, that wud really wind me up, id be chucking things around the room if that happened to me, so i wont ever be trying that just incase . unlucky pal lol

only thing i can think of mate is dload the real time editor and give urself the transfer budget back, its not as if ur cheating, it sounds like theres an error in the game and its caught u.

Interacting with the Board to sign a player worked fine for me in the only time I've tried.

I attempted to sign Bale with what transfer funds I had left in my Manchester United game, after Tottenham came back and tried to negotiate a deal after interacting with the Board they said they would negotiate a deal. They got a deal accepted as well as offering him a contract and signed him for me within a week with no problems.

my board always say the player is an urealistic target even when the player is transfer listed and offered to me by his club, also when i go to the filter he is intrested in coming to me, any one else had this?

that was a bug, which has been rectified by the hotfix

but how do you do that......i mean how do u ask u'r board to sign a player...i can't see any option...

when you go to make an offer for a player if hes a good player that your board think will boost the club there will be a box in the top right corner saying interact with board, this will bring up a conversation and you choose what you want to say

thanks mate.... thanks a lot..............i've just asked my board to sign adler for me...as i had only 4m transfer budget left....and they have sighned him for about 20m euro
