Hey, I'm in my second season with Seattle Sounders FC in the MLS. I was shocked to receive a news item in my inbox that said pressure was mounting on me and a loss in my next fixture might seal my fate. Than I got a confidence update from the board, and it stated that they felt I could be performing better in my role as manager, and that their main concern was my poor performance in the league. The only problem is that I literally could not be doing any better in the league. My record from the first 15 matches is 15-0-0. My team is unbelievable this season. Is this a bug? What could possibly be going on here?

Not a clue. Perhaps they are not satisfied because you are not losing enough.

you sold someone?
Maybe they want to win more comfortably?

Additionally, when I look at the further details, it says:

"The minimum expectation is that the club reaches the MLS final"
"The board is disappointed that the team is only on course to win the MLS this season."

That's bizarre, right?

@marko8 I've sold a couple of players, but nobody tremendously popular and my goal differential is 45 for and 6 against. My team has been winning every match by at least 3 goals, and usually 4.

sounds like the "board" view the mls groups and the mls knockouts as two different competitions and while you're top of one youre "not in" the knockouts which is what they want to do well in.

stupid but only thing i can think of here.

if you finish the league part and get to the knockout business then perhaps theyll be delighted/normal with you again.

if you last that long!

I've been having the same problem as well in the N.Irish leagues, always with low reputation leagues in my extended sy, it says they are extremely happy with my progress in the league yet in the competitions in the summary the bar is completely empty and come the end of the seasons they are constantly threatening to sack me even though I have promoted the team. Bizarre

I thought it may be something to do with reputation because in my game where I am in the premiership it works fine?

I think it's maybe another little glitch that needs ironed out? I won the league cup and with Aberdeen and my board wanted a minimum of quarter finals, they said my performance in the cup was below expectations even though i beat both old firm sides and won it? :S

I've had this problem before when running Oceanic Leagues in FM10, does it only seem to happen about 3/4 of the way through a season?

I also had it this year with my Cook Island Story (see link in sig.) but that worked itself out after the first season and its been gravy since then

nah, yet another bug that Sports Interactive needs to sort it out...

Yeah they are always exstatic until maybe around feb then suddenly it just drops, I'm going to play through a few seasons to see if it sorts itself out as usually I get fed up trying to make board requests and them turning me down so I just start again.

I've had something like this happen to me, luckily they didn't sack me and I won the competition and they were happy again :)

Its something that needs looking into at some point, there is little reason for implementing the dynamic reputation system if your going to get sacked in the lower leagues/nations all of the time.
