West Bromwich Albion Football Club also known as West Brom, The Baggies, Albion, The Albion, The Throstles or WBA, are an English professional association football club based in West Bromwich, West Midlands. The Squad

I am fully confident that the squad has enough quality to achieve what is expected of them. I intend to bring in some fresh faces to give the squad a lift.

A Managers View On The Season Ahead

I am delighted to be given the opportunity to apply my trade at WBA. I will be looking to takes the club forward in a positive manner and put the clubs welfare in front of all other matters. I have told the board and the players what i expect the club to achieve this season. The expectation was simple Promotion. I feel that with a couple of additions in the right areas I believe we have one of the best squads in the division. I have targeted a striker and a defensive midfielder as the main areas I will try an improve. I have also told the board my long term plans for the club which are simple. I want the club to progress in the right direction every season I am in charge. I also wish to thank the fans for their support and hope they can get behind the team and be the 12th man throughout the season!

Pre Season and Transfer Updates to follow. Hope you all enjoy :D

Pre Season

The club had a total of 7 friendlies and the assistant manager took charge for all off the friendlies. We won 6 of the friendlies only losing to a full strength Chelsea side. Below is the screen shot of the friendlies

I am pleased with the effort the squad put in over the pre season period and as well of the friendly games went through a tough training program. I am confident that we are ready to hit the ground running when the Coca Cola Championship starts.

I am very very happy with my dealings in the window. I am very excited to welcome Portugal duo Postiga and Djalo to the club and I believe they can score goals for the club. I am also happy to strengthen the squad with loan signings Muamba and De Laet. I also am looking forward to seeing youngsters Verratti and Sergi develop at the club. I also feel it was the correct time to let Felipe leave for Coventry as I did not see him featuring in my first team plans. I hope Chris Wood gains valuable experience while at Barcelona and I suspect they will make an offer next season. I now feel I have a squad capable of gaining promotion back to the Premier League.

good luck mate, try get Jack Wilshere or Giovanni Dos Santos on loan both are great players and also try get Fabio on loan. For the striker role Yannick is great and try get these players,Sol Campbell,Daniel Opare,David wheater for your defence and as that is the part of your team that is extremely weak

Chris Wood to Barca ? ****** **** ! I think Rovers were after him a couple of months ago :P

Should have a good enough squad to sail through the Championship, especially with Djalo. How on earth did Wood go to Barca though?

You got Yannick Djalo for 800k...you must be kidding!!!!
In my Sheff Utd save, Sporting CP asked for some $20M when I approached him... And when they were content with $12.5M (with $9M in installments), he rejected me plainly...
And by the way, some very good transfers...Muamba is gonna be a revolution and Postiga is awesome when used well...I will be following....All the best!!!!

Player Of The Month - Abdoulaye Meite

Meite has been a monster from free kicks and corners this month scoring 4 goals. As well as his impressive goal scoring the central defender has also put in some great defensive displays.

It has been a great first month for me at the club. We have went 5 Championship games unbeaten and has progressed to the 3rd round of the league cup. All the new signings have all settled in well and Postiga is starting to show the form of a couple of years ago. What a performance we put in against Newcastle and that really set the bench mark for the season. We are currently sitting 4th in the league and I hope we can take our earlier form into the next few months.

What does everyone thing of the layout??? Any tips???

What patch are you using? On my 10.3 he was transfer listed from the start of the game lol

I found this strange myself lol I offered him to clubs on loan and Barca made an offer with a future fee off 1.5 million and I rejected the future fee so he went to them for a season long loan for 100k. He's played 2 cup games for them haha

I am using 10.1 path....
wanted him badly but couldn't afford him and bought Harewood and he produced the goods in my season 1...
Harewood is brilliant for a Championship side

Player Of The Month - Helder Postiga

The striker scored four goals this month and always looked a threat in every game he played. He also had a hand in post of the goals that where scored this month as well. His recent form has seen him recalled to the Portugal squad and we our very much interested in making his loan deal permanent

Another good month has seen us climb to 2nd in the table 3 points behind Sheff Utd and also progress to the 4th Round of the League Cup where we will play Arsenal away. I am delighted at the way my strikers are performing and it is hard to leave one or two of them sitting on the bench. However we played very poor against Boro and the lads have been told that kind of performance will not be good enough. All in all a very good month to follow up a good first month which leaves us at the right end of the table.

Nice going, keep it up its a real good story and nice layout :)

Player Of The Month - Postiga

The Portugal striker was again in great form this month scoring 4 goals. Postiga now leads the clubs scoring charts and the Portugal man is really starting to find his form of years back. His good form has seen him attract some attention from the champions league big guys.

We got off to a very bad start to the month with a defeat to Preston but turned it round in some fashion winning our 3 home games and a draw away in the league. However we where taught a lesson away at arsenal going down by 5 :( Van Persie was on fire and we will learn from the lesson. Postiga again produced the goods and is looking to be an inspired loan signing. We our currently sitting 2nd in the league after 15 games 2 points behind Sheff Utd who have started in terrific form. We will look to continue our good home form and improve away from home and we should continue with our promotion push.

Nice update, Postiga is doing really well!

Player Of The Month - Yannick Djalo

The striker got forced his way back into the firs team set up and is looking set to stay there after scoring 3 goals in 3 games in the month of November. The Strikers displays where so good this month the Portugal manager was coming to watch him as well as Postiga. I hope he can continue this form as a team that has strikers scoring is always going to cause problems.

A great month for the club with only 3 games we managed to pick up 3 valuable wins 2 of which came on the road which was pleasing. These 3 wins have also lifted us to the top of the championship after a blip by Sheff Utd. We currently sit 4 points clear at the top. The clubs other Portugal Djalo hit form this month and if him and Postiga can continue to find the net we wont be to far away this season. Next month will need a big push as we have 6 Championship fixtures and hopefully we can take our good form into these games.

Nice story and turning out to be a great season for you!!!!
Good to see Sheff Utd lead though :P
And still I envy you for having Djalo in your squad..... And one final question....Do u think Abdulaye Meite is worth buying for Sheff Utd in Premiership in my save...I know he's good but is he really good?
Thanks.........
