Bournemouth - A Big Bite Of The Cherry

View attachment 254498

Phenomenal scenes on Bournemouth beach recently. The 'Cherries' as the club is affectionately known as were celebrating their success at not only being promoted to the Premier League but also triumphing as Champions in the Sky Bet Championship. Manager Eddie Howe has taken many plaudits this season and deservedly so. His team have played terrific football throughout the campaign and thoroughly deserve their incredible feat. Howe's team have been in scintillating form in front of goal and have scored 98 goals this season in the Championship. Star striker Callum Wilson scored more than any other Bournemouth player netting an impressive 20 league goals. If Bournemouth are to beat the drop this year then they will be hoping that WIlson has another fine season in front of goal.

Eddie Howe will be looking to strengthen his squad this summer and has already started identifying targets. Christian Atsu initially came in on loan but has subsequently been sent back to Chelsea after Eddie Howe grew tired of his lacklustre attitude and inflated ego. There will be lots of hours put in over the summer from the Bournemouth owner, manager and directors as they plan to improve the squad to help them cope in the Premier League.

So with the Cherries now in uncharted territory and with many mutual fans plotting the club down as the bedrock of the table this season it will be up to Eddie Howe and his revamped Bournemouth squad to show the rest of the Premier League that they can escape relegation this year.

Bournemouth Announce Early Transfers

Bournemouth may have just pulled off one of the transfer coups of this summers transfer window. The club has managed to persuade Barcelona's young starlet Munir El Haddadi to sign on a 1 year loan deal. The young Spaniard is regarded as one of Barcelona and Spains brightest prospects and already posses' immense skill. Luis Enrique engineered the move from Spain working well with Eddie Howe and stating that he hoped the two managers could work again together on future business. Does this mean Bournemouth could go back to Barcelona for more talent?

Eddie Howe has also wrapped up the permanent signings of Dayot Upamecano for approximately £400k and Kristoffer Ajer for around £200k. These two along with Haddadi are touted future stars and it seems Howe is keen to build for the future. Perhaps ensuring that if the club is relegated come next summer there are still building blocks in place to keep the squad with a decent plethora of talent.

With the transfer window due not to close for another month could Bournemouth and Eddie Howe re-enter the market to further improve the Bournemouth squad?
