Story Summary:

Tirath:
1st season- Braga - 2nd in League, Portuguese Cup winner
2nd season- Braga - 1st in League, Portuguese League Cup winner, Quater Finals of Champions League

Ronaseal:
1st season- Braga - 2nd in League
2nd season- Braga - Currently Playing


I started this game a week ago when Aannddyy came up with the idea of having a Journeyman Game between us. I am really enjoying it and want to share my story with you. We all started off at Braga in Liga Sagres. I am currently in my second season.

Now my transfer budget for second season was a tasty £14million. I made some monthly installment bids to bring in a lot of quality players and win the title this season.

I couldn't have hoped for a better unbeaten start. My draws were with Sporting, Porto and Madeira.

I will not be looking to sign any more players in the January Transfer window. This is my current squad & best starting XI for those who are interested:

Surprisingly poor finishing from both sets of strikers made this a tight game and took a bit of luck for the 87th minute header from Izmailov.

Braga have been unsuccessful in their attempt at retaining the Cup.
 
I don't understand, why do you need your own thread? Our joint story thread has had over 6,000 views so most people will have already seen your updates in the original thread :S

Braga dominated from start to finish and were very unlucky not to take points away from Lisbon

I think there's nothing wrong you starting your own thread especially as only of few of you actually update like you would for a normal story

As i said to Aannddyy, only me & ronaseal update the thread and its easier for people to follow my journey if i make my own story
 
I tryed playing as Braga but i just hate the portugese league and that team, no idea why. Your doing really well though keep it up :)
 
Annoyingly the Portuguese League Cup semi-finals clash with an international weekend so both me & Porto were playing almost second teams.
My squad strength seems to be greater than that of Porto as Braga came out 1-0 winners and are through to the final.
A debut goal from Khoumar Babacar in the 33rd minute ensured my side went through to the Final.
 
Good luck with this you might want to sign a new right back though. I would reccomend Ruben Bastos :)
 
it looks like braga have some money i might give them a go also well done onthe porto result

Yeah im going to look to sign one in the Summer. I also need a back-up Left back as Evaldo is my only decent one :P

I only got the cash in second season. I think you get about £1M first season but i sold a few to fund some better quality players :P

Braga 2-1 Liverpool
The cruelest goal possible to let in for Braga. The right back was off the field because he had taken a knock which left Albert Reira with bags of space to pick out Steven Gerrard for an easy header. Although they didn't give up as Defederico bagged Braga and equaliser with 30 minutes to go. It was written in the stars that Braga legend Kikin Fonseca was to score to give Braga a 1 goal advantage in the tie.

Juande Ramos has been appointed as manager. I wonder if he will change the formation or wait till the summer to make big changes.
 
Porto 0-1 Braga

A potentially title-deciding match. It certainly wasn't Braga's best performance and it looked like Singh had one eye on the Champions League tie by resting Otamendi, Zuculini and Defederico.

Braga fans were ecstatic after their team showed real clinical finishing. The scoreline didn't reflect the game to be fair to Liverpool although Braga's in form strikers were no match for Juande Ramos' new look liverpool team.
