History

Recent history points towards Wolves bouncing from the Championship to the Premier League. But as of late they've had some money pumped in and signed some rather big names. Stability is now almost certain and my aim is to break the Top Six's domination.

Some of these were already done like Cutrone and Dendooncker. The 3 I signed were Dalot in on loan to add some competition at right back. Sessegnon to give me some versatility down the left as he can play both left back and left midfield. Finally Adam Ounas came in on loan to rotate with Adama Traore in right midfield.

The departures arent anything to note, simply some reserves leaving on loan and a couple of minor sales.

Tactic/Best 11

I feel like this is my strongest 11. Harshly Jota misses out to Cutrone and Jimenez. Coady and Vallejo are two solid centre backs. Sessegnon and Traore down the wings bring bundles of pace and threat. Jimenez and Cutrone up top is a strike partnership that wouldn't look out of place in a Champions League squad!

Key Players

Ruben Neves

Phenominal player. Really gonna be looking to him to run our midfield in either the deeper role or more box to box.

Patrick Cutrone

The new lad up top signed from Milan. Cracking stats and already got off to a flying start in the Europa League qualifiers for us.

Raul Jimenez

Our other key man up front, Jimenez is a real threat and I'm hoping between him and Cutrone we should score bundles of goals this season.

First league game of the season away to Chelsea would be enough to make anyone pessimistic but Raul Jimenez dropped a masterclass here netting two quality goals. Chelsea tried to fight back late on and managed to get one back late on thanks to Tammy Abraham but it was too late.

Thought we were on our way to back to back giant killings but Liverpool rallied in the second half. Trent AA scored a penalty, VVD slapped in a free kick of all ways for him to score. Mane netted a late screamer to put some gloss on it for Liverpool.

I rested a few of our key players here as it was sandwiched between two key games against Frankfurt for Europa League qualification but I'm still disappointed to lose to Palace here. Must improve

First leg against Frankfurt and a very solid result here. Managed to net 2 goals and keep a clean sheet to take to Germany.

After resting some of our big players against Palace we came out fully fired up against Frankfurt, 2 early goals settled the nerves and we qualify for the group stages!!

Review

Not a bad start considering our fixtures. The Europa League could have been tricky but we dispatched of Frankfurt with relative ease. A good start to the league against Chelsea but back to back losses saw us tumble down the table. Still early days.

Jimenez has started on fire, Cutrone has dipped off after netting 7 goals in the early qualifiers of the Europa League he's still yet to score in the Premier League.

Here's the Europa League group:

Should finish in the top 2 without too much trouble

City and Liverpool take an early lead, United slapped Sheffield United 7-0 on the opening day which could see them struggle this season.

Tough game this. Really back and forth but a brace from the speed merchant Traore and Jimenez chipping in means we take the 3 points.

Maybe if we had 11 men for the whole match this could have been different. Sadly Adama scored but then received a straight red for throwing an elbow whilst going for a header. Spurs made the most of the extra man and swept us away.

Straight forward match this. Doherty netting a great goal and Jimenez scoring what seems to be his customary goal!!

This was done at half-time. Brighton are having a horrible season and provided no real test here.

EFL Cup Third Round

A rotated eleven here and we easily saw away Huddersfield. Millwall in the next round.

Easy win. Nice to see Morgan Gibbs-White score his first goal for the club. High hopes for him!!

Monthly Review

A much better month but an easier one fixture wise. Only sour notes being that loss to Spurs and losing Patrick Cutrone to injury for 2 months. Yes he hasn't had the best start but he's still a very good player but Jota will be seeing much more game time with Cutrone out.

Surprisingly Sevilla actually lost to Kobenhavn so thats thrown the doors wide open in our Europa League group!

Up to fifth!! We've also already played Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool of the big boys so hopefully we can push on from here
