Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Steve Scott as their full time manager. Steve Scott says he hopes to get the club into a top 4 position within 3 years.

Season Expectations: Mid Table Finish
Transfer Budget: 6m

Transfers In

Marco Verratti £2m - Highly rated youngster brought for 2m because Sampdoria signed him on the first day of the game.
Dean Bouzanis £80k - Another youngster brought in as backup for Gomes as Cudicini has departed. Hopefully he will be as good as he was in previous years.
Marc Muniesa £120k - 3rd Young signing, very cheap and will provide a key player in years to come hopefully.

Transfers Out

Carlo Cudicini £2.4m - I felt that £2.4m was a good price to let him go, as he is an aging keeper.

A last minute Davies goal denies us of a point, was hoping to win this game in all honesty.

MK Dons V Tottenham 2-3 aet (LC)

A pleasing result they scored in the 1st and 91st minute.

Pleasing point away at Stoke, always knew it would be a hard place to go. That man Defoe scores again though.

A good one nil win coming from the sub Roman Pavlyuchenko, Defoes goal run comes to an abrupt end.

A last minute goal from Defoe gives us the well deserved 3 points.

A very good result, i am very pleased that we have made it through to the next round, however Chelsea awaits us at White Hart Lane.

Fulham V Tottenham 1-0 (L)

A poor result against someone we should be competing with for europe, Defoe got a straight red for violent conduct.

Another poor result, was hoping for all 3 points here to be honest. Lacking the goals that Defoe gives us whilst hes suspended.

January 2010 till end of season

Transfers In

David Beckham £0 - Brought in on a free to add a bit of class to the midfield, will be a rotational player and will hope to get some assists and goals from him.

Marek Suchy £750k - A cheap transfer for a utility player can play defensive mid or centre back a back up for the squad.

Simon Vukcevic £7.5m - A fairly cheap player for someone of his class, will slip straight into the left hand side role which Modric departs from.

Total Transfer for Season In £10.5m

Transfers Out

Johnathan Woodgate £7.5m - A lack of loyalty from Woodgate in August when he wanted a move to Real Madrid left his morale very low and causing him to disrupt the team, I therefore sold him for a good price for the 29 year old.

Luka Modric £24.5m - When a big money offer comes in from Inter like this you have just gotta sell, he did well for the club and will always be welcomed back.

Alan Hutton £5m - Spent most of his time on the bench, a good 5m for only a back up player.

Total Transfer for Season Out £39.5m

Reading V Tottenham 1-2 (FA)
Scorers: Matejovsky Modric Dawson
Not the best of result against a lower league opponent however we are through and thats all that matters.

Tottenham V Liverpool 3-0 (L)
Scorers: Crouch 2 Defoe
Another amazing result against one of the top 4, should of been 5 with Defoe having 2 disallowed.

Aston Villa V Tottenham 2-2 (L)
Scorers: Carew 2 Bentley 2
An average result away from home i am pleased with a point.

Cardiff V Tottenham 1-2 (FA)
Scorers: Etuhu Defoe 2
The third match in a row someone has grabbed 2 goals, a poor result but yet again we make it through.

Burnley V Tottenham 5-5 (L)
Scorers: Mouath Fletcher 2 Eagles McDonald Huddlestone 2 Defoe 2 Caldwell OG
Game of the season for the wrong reasons, 3-0 up after 15mins 4-3 to Burnley by half time, 5-4 to Tottenham and a 90th minute strike from McDonald denies us of 3 points.

Tottenham V Man Utd 2-1 (L)
Scorers: Crouch 2 Carrick
Another amazing victory, did well to recover from the last game calamities, Another 2 goals for Crouch thats the last 5 games someone has bagged 2.

Tottenham V Stoke 3-0 (L)
Scorers: Crouch Dawson Defoe
A very good win against a physical Stoke team, i am very pleased with the last few results.

Portsmouth V Tottenham 2-1 (L)
Scorers: Boateng Belhadj Ben-Haim OG
Poor result, never looked like scoring.

Newcastle V Tottenham 3-1 (FA)
Scorers: Ameobi Carroll 2 Bentley
A poor result against lower league opposition our poor form in the FA cup finally comes to an end.

Blackburn V Tottenham 2-1 (L)
Scorers: Andrews Diouf Crouch
Another poor result thats 3 games without winning, a screamer from Andrews and a late goal from Diouf denies us.

Tottenham V Fulham 1-1 (L)
Scorers: Crouch Nevland
Another game without winning this time a late Nevland strike denies us.

Everton V Tottenham 1-0 (L)
Scorers: Vaughan
When is it going to end 5 games without a win and Tottenham was in with a chance of coming 4th before all these losses.

Tottenham V Hull 3-0 (L)
Scorers: Campbell OG Dawson 2
Finally first win in 6 games comes against a Hull team that have beat us once before, a shocking performance all 3 goals coming from defenders, one of them was their defender.

Tottenham V Birmingham 2-1 (L)
Scorers: Bentley Dawson Larsson
A good result another 3 points is what we needed and what we got.

Man City V Tottenham 2-1 (L)
Scorers: Rodriquez Tevez Palacios
A good game Tevez scored the winner with 5 minutes left, not what we needed.

Wolves V Tottenham 0-1 (L)
Scorers: Beckham
3 Points is what we needed and what we got.

Tottenham V Arsenal 1-0 (L)
Scorers: Palacios
The local derby game was won by Arsenal easily earlier on in the season but Tottenham overcome their bigger rivals with a great result, thats all the top 4 beat since 31st December.

Tottenham V Wigan 0-0 (L)
Scorers:
A poor result in which we really needed a win to cement 7th place, however it goes down to the wire.

Sunderland V Tottenham 3-2 (L)
Scorers: Bent 2 Jones Defoe Vukcevic
Last game of the season needed a win to secure 7th or for Bolton to lose, neither happened, our end of the season form was poor, too inconsistent, This game was first time strikers scored in 8 games. Form like that doesnt win you many games.
