Unproven manager Vincenzo Agnoli has joined "the bees" on a one year contact after hanging up his boots at the young age of 32. The former Italy defender is thought to have welcomed this opportunity to remain in football and is "excited to get underway" after Uwe Rosler left the post. With a young, english core and a pending stadium move on the brink of completion. The bees look ready to sting their opposition and challenge for promotion. ​

2014/15 PRE-SEASON

New boss Agnoli has added three fresh faces to his Griffin Park set-up. Midfielder Keith Fahey joined for free to add some much needed experience to the bees midfield whilst Danny Redmond joined on loan from Wigan to add quality to the flanks. Adam Nkusu Landu joined as a free agent to play for the youth squad and add cover in attacking positions. With no key players leaving, Brenford look forward a good season ahead.

Agnoli and his Brentford outfit had a solid pre-season with only one loss. Key players Bidwell, Forshaw and Grigg were influential in all results and the London club will go into the forthcoming season brimming with confidence.

HALF-SEASON REVIEW 2014/15

Vincenzo Agnoli will be delighted to see his team performing above all expectations in the Npower League 1, four points adrift at the top of the league, ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers. The London club have been praised for giving opportunities to young, English players. The star performers in the team have been Adam Forshaw and Jake Bidwell, with Will Grigg banging in the goals(currently on 24). Young centre-backs Dean and Calvet have also impressed, keeping club captain Tony Craig on the sidelines and Danny Redmond currently leads the assist charts at the club, a close second to Sako in the league.

However, the bees will be dissapointed to see Italian starlet Trotta return to Fulham, after his 7 league goals have impressed the Griffin Park faithful. To fill this void, Agnoli has moved swiftly to bring in veteran striker Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, hoping his goals will help their promotion bid. James Henry of Millwall joins the club on loan, allowing Adam Forshaw to play in a more central role. Agnoli has indicated that if Henry impresses in his 6-month loan spell, he may well look to strike a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Despite crashing out in the Capital One Cup 3rd round to Derby, Brentford sit comfortably at the top of the league and have reached the JPT final, whilst utilising mostly second string players. Agnoli has had a solid start to his managerial career.​
