It has just been reported that Brian Fantana has left the GNN news team in order to pursue a career in football management. However with no experience and no coaching badges it may be a while before he gets anywhere...

As you can see, I have made Fantana so that he has very poor stats to start with, hopefully over the course of the series he will improve and eventually become the greatest manager of all time!

I have downloaded an extended database and so have around 40 different nations loaded in Europe, and I also holidayed one year into the future to get a larger variety of jobs available. I will update you all when I find a job

Haha, yeah just thought it would be something a bit different

FANTANA TAKES CHARGE AT ALTA

In what may be seen as a surprise appointment, the Alta board have named Brian Fantana as their new boss.
The relatively unknown American manager, whose first game in charge will be against Raufoss on Sunday 13th September 2015, declared that he was looking forward to the challenge at Finnmarkshallen.
As you can see from the screenshots, Alta are quite a mediocre club, having not really achieved anything in their 87 year history. Hopefully this will change under the guidance of Brian Fantana, although the first task is avoiding relegation.

So far this season the performance of the squad has little to be desired. We had a decent run, halfway through the season, although picking up just one win in the last ten means we are now in the relegation zone, although I am confident we will be able to beat the drop.

The squad report shows that we are lacking a solid striker, which is backed up by the fact that our top scorer has just 4 goals, although this accolade is shared by 3 separate players at the club. One of these players, Espen Johnson, is also the clubs top assister, with 7 assists to his name this season. The first three players are the players who I feel will be most key for us this season, and they are all more or less the best in their respective positions. The last two players are the two youth prospects, who both have decent potential, however they are both currently injured.

General Thoughts
Whilst I am under no illusion as to how hard this task is, I am very happy to get this job. They are a semi-professional team, and by far the best team that offered me a job. I applied for many different jobs, however most of these were unsuccessful, including a team from Kazakhstan who had a transfer budget of almost 10 million. That being said, Alta have given me a transfer budget of around 1.5 million, which is a very decent amount considering the size of the club. As soon as I joined Alta, I immediately applied for a coaching course, however the board rejected saying that they wanted me on the training ground, which is annoying, but not the end of the world. I have not yet decided on a tactic, but will update you in a few games time when I have settled in and hopefully won some games.
