These are my pick of the bunch i think and hoping they will bring great things for BTAFC. I got rid of about 11 players and brought in 10. With no money and hardly any wage budget i think ive grabbed a few bargins but only the following season will really tell.
Pre-season:
With a total of 6 games to play in pre-season i knew i didnt have long to test and try tactics before the new season gets underway.
Pre- Season:
Bridlington Town (3) v.s Bridlington Town reserves (1)
Scorers: Allanson, Hotte, Wilkenson
M.O.M: Tom macdonald- His passing and 2 assists were the key to todays win.
Team: Still need to gel together and correct alot of mistakes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridlington Town (0) v.s GH Acadamy (1)
Team: A poor display for the seasiders only creating 4 shots the whole game, Lesson LEARNT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridlington Town (1) v.s Brigg (0)
Scorers: T.Noble
M.O.M: Luke Moulds - Dominate at the back today winning alot of key headers.
Team: overall a gritty but solid performance
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridlington Town (3) v.s Harrogate Railway (1)
Scorers: Yates x2, Green
M.O.M: Yates- Bagging 2 goals and creating the 3rd
Team: Created alot of chances with over half being on target, improvement made but defence still lacking the X-factor
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Howden-LE-Wear (1) v.s Bridlington Town (1)
Scorer: Cattermole
M.O.M: Cattermole - The left back grabbing a well deserved goal to cap off a great defensive job
Team: If only cattermoles team mates turned up to the same game he did. A very poor display but still Gelling together.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridlington Town (2) v.s Garforth (0)
Scorers: Green, Dyer
M.O.M: Green- His goal and assist along with a great aerial battle was enough to award him for a great game.
Team- A solid display with alot of chances created and a nice solid defensive display
Pre-season Report:
After settling for a tactic which seemed fitting, the team started to produce some nice flowing football. Alterations are needed for defence and maybe a added ball winner in the middle of the park wouldnt go amiss. Things are set for a long season ahead of us brining 38 league games and a possbile of 4 extra cups to play in.
