After the new signings were brought in and the lack of players leaving has caused Woodhouse to exceed the wage budget by several 100 k
this has caused many contracts to be reviewed

This was a great season for us, 2nd in the league, winning the FA cup and getting to 2nd round in Champions League. This has been due to their young talented manager, Roma Approached Woodhouse to take charge of the Italian giants after a disappointing season, Newcastle board were delighted when Woodhouse declined this offer.

From www.nufc.co.uk
Dzeko, Sanogo, Opare on way to the toon? Nolan, Enrique and Simpon on way out?

After Winning the Community Shield, the Premier League and Champions league, Woodhouse has been looking for a few small improvements.
Woodhouse is already in talks with Edin Dzeko, who has refused to renew his contract and will join Newcastle on the Bosman ruling.
Woodhouse has also acquired Daniel Opare and Salvatore Perticone on the same ruling.
Yaya Sanogo choose Real Madrid over Newcastle in 2010 but now is on the verge of signing for the current Kings of europe for 4.3 million.
Rumours that several of the geordie faithful could be leaving, Nolan Enrique and Simpson almost certain to leave

Season five 2013/14

After last seasons achievements the board expect at least European qualification via league finish.
To achieve this the board have given Woodhouse a staggering 52million to spend.
View attachment 68607

Sources close to the Newcastle manager have told sky sports that Woodhouse is looking for a striker and wants to strengthen the defense. They also revealed that Woodhouse was happy with his current midfield but may bring in another defensive minded midfielder if the right player became available.

Transfers
In
Edin Dzeko - free - Dzeko is a proven goal scorer, this will reduce the pressure on the current strike force due to the number of games Newcastle will be involved in this season.
View attachment 68611

Salvatore Perticone - free - young talented right back, Woodhouse commented on how he will be one to watch in the future. He may be loaned out to gain first team experience as he will unfortunately be 3rd choice.
View attachment 68614

Daniel Opare - free - another young talented right back, Cover for Aurier as renan will be moving to left back
View attachment 68612

Jack Rodwell - 21 million - Woodhouse stated that Jack was a player he was keen to acquire and has been following the developing midfielder for a year or so. Also with the lack of English players at the club, this could become a valuable signing in the European competitions.
View attachment 68610

Yaya Sanogo - 4.3 million - After Yaya turned down Newcastle in 2009/10 season, Woodhouse has been awaiting the player to become available, and when the striker became surplus to requirements at Real, yaya was offered to the recently appointed kings of Europe.
View attachment 68613

Out
Woodhouse has decided to sell off several player whom played for Newcastle when he took over in 2009.

Joey Barton - 2.8 million - Gladbach - Joey had a tendency to get sent off and was no longer in first team plans
Danny Simpson- 4.5 million -Blackburn - With two new youngsters arriving, Danny became unsettled, Blackburn offered 4.5 mill and the offer was too good to turn down.
Kevin Nolan - 4.5 million - Wolves - Nolan was getting on bit (31 now) and decided the offer was too good
Jose Enrique- 7.5 million - Bolton - Enrique was a great player but had became unhappy at lack of first team football
Kazenga LuaLua - 1.8 million - Osasuno- Lua Lua has failed to make it into the first team

Several players leave on loan, including Jonas, Spear and Kadar
Ameobi and Best have left after failing to gain a new contract

Managers Comments
This has been an excellent start to the season, Dzeko and Sanogo have proven to be quality signings so far. Steven Taylor is becoming a rock at the back and poping up with few goals himself.
Taking 16 points from a possible 18 is a great start for us, however a draw at Burnley was a disappiontment, Newcastle should distroy teams like that.
