This story takes place in Dortmund, and it is the story of a young swedish manager, named Carl Pagels, who only has a few international caps for the Swedish National team and very little experience in management. He is thrown straight into the hot seat when taking over Dortmund after Jurgen Klopp following his poor results in the league.

Expectations:

These were the initial expectations given to me by my board, I don't think they should be too difficult to reach but I am aiming for semi-final or higher in the champions league.

Transfers:

I didn't initially plan to sell Subotic, but after Real Madrid made a bid for him and he came complaining about me rejecting it, I was forced into a sale, it opened up enough money for me to get Lucas Romero in for central midfield, though.

Tactic&Line up

​The tactic and lineup I'll be using for this season, I'll be hoping to get Gundogan and Reus in once they get off injuries.


First game, first silverware

We had some rather uninteresting results in the pre-season, a few losses, a few wins, nothing too fun. My first competitive game as a Dortmund manager was the supercup final against Bayern, the game ended 2-1 for us, with Kevin Kampl scoring a goal 4 minutes into his debut.

We got a 2-0 win against freiburg in our first league game, pretty simple game. Our third game and our first home game of the season, however, was against FC Köln and what a game it was! It ended 11-0(!).

Third game

The third game of the league was against Hoffenheim and ended 2-0, a solid display all around, the important part being Marco Reus returning with a goal while Ramos got the other.

Champions League

We got drawn into a group featuring Arsenal, Galatasaray and Sparta Prague. Our first game was against Galatasaray and it was a massive disappointment, we ended up losing the game 2-1 with Kampl scoring our only goal.
