New Manager
After giving Rafa the sack, the Liverpool board decided to bring in the inexperienced Kristian Steko to Anfield.
After being interviewed by a journalist Kristian said that "This is a dream come true for him". He also states that his tactical mentalities will be to play "attractive football". Although disappointed of the funds given to him, he plans to be active in the transfer market.

July is over. I'm pleased with the teams performance and my signings, although I need youngsters for back up. But that will be done in August. Can't wait for season to start. My fixtures for August are.
Vs Everton (EPL) H
Vs Stoke (EPL) H
Vs Portsmouth (EPL) A
August 2009
Captain choice for the season. Has to be Gerrard and Carragher for the vice captain role. Hoping to get the best out of Torres and Gerrard for the season. I don't expect to do to well against Everton because the two new signings haven't played a game yet. But we will see what happens. Playing at home so I should look to attack. Merseyside derby here I come.
SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TORRES OUT FOR THE MERSEYSIDE DERBY!

Its derby day at Merseyside. Liverpool v Everton at Anfield. Torres is out so I do need to change my formation up a bit. I'm not risking playing N'Gog as striker so im moving Kuyt to striker.
These are the lineups.

Told the boys to do if for the fans.
Kuyt scored a very good goal, created by Gerrard. All the way up until the 85th, it was all Liverpool. Until Everton had one chance and converted. Degen, I'm surprised, had a pretty good game until he got sent off for a second bookable offense. Although we had more chances, I told the boys it still wasn't good enough.

Question for you guys. Don't you get soooo annoyed when you have had so many chances and nearly all of possesion, and yet the opposition only has one and scores? Always happens to me.

Second round of the EPL. Wigan vs Liverpool. With Torres back from injury I can now play a full strength squad.
Kristian has released a press statement saying N'Zogbia might me a threat.
Here are the line ups.

A deserved win for Liverpool. 0-2. Kuyt scored a good goal cleaning up a fumble by the goal keeper. And Torres scored in the second half on the counter. Steven Gerrard was the man of the match being everywhere on the pitch and creating chances. Good performance.
