New Manager

After giving Rafa the sack, the Liverpool board decided to bring in the inexperienced Kristian Steko to Anfield.

After being interviewed by a journalist Kristian said that "This is a dream come true for him". He also states that his tactical mentalities will be to play "attractive football". Although disappointed of the funds given to him, he plans to be active in the transfer market.

July is over. I'm pleased with the teams performance and my signings, although I need youngsters for back up. But that will be done in August. Can't wait for season to start. My fixtures for August are.

Vs Everton (EPL) H
Vs Stoke (EPL) H
Vs Portsmouth (EPL) A

August 2009

Captain choice for the season. Has to be Gerrard and Carragher for the vice captain role. Hoping to get the best out of Torres and Gerrard for the season. I don't expect to do to well against Everton because the two new signings haven't played a game yet. But we will see what happens. Playing at home so I should look to attack. Merseyside derby here I come.

SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TORRES OUT FOR THE MERSEYSIDE DERBY! :@ :@ :@

Rest of August coming in next post.

Its derby day at Merseyside. Liverpool v Everton at Anfield. Torres is out so I do need to change my formation up a bit. I'm not risking playing N'Gog as striker so im moving Kuyt to striker.

These are the lineups.

Told the boys to do if for the fans.

Kuyt scored a very good goal, created by Gerrard. All the way up until the 85th, it was all Liverpool. Until Everton had one chance and converted. Degen, I'm surprised, had a pretty good game until he got sent off for a second bookable offense. Although we had more chances, I told the boys it still wasn't good enough.

Question for you guys. Don't you get soooo annoyed when you have had so many chances and nearly all of possesion, and yet the opposition only has one and scores? Always happens to me.

Second round of the EPL. Wigan vs Liverpool. With Torres back from injury I can now play a full strength squad.

Kristian has released a press statement saying N'Zogbia might me a threat.

Here are the line ups.

A deserved win for Liverpool. 0-2. Kuyt scored a good goal cleaning up a fumble by the goal keeper. And Torres scored in the second half on the counter. Steven Gerrard was the man of the match being everywhere on the pitch and creating chances. Good performance.

Furthest I have got on FM10 is with Liverpool, 4 and a half seasons.

Won the EPL every season and usually one domestic cup as well. Won the CL in my fourth season also.

Good luck. Unlucky with the derby game. I think you made a mistake selling Benayoun, I still had him in my 5th season.

NEW SIGNING!!!

Liverpool manager Kristian Steko has signed young midfielder John Fleck for 3 million pounds. At only 17 years of age some question Kristian's decision making.

"At just 17 years of age, Fleck is on the young side. Would you agree with those who believe this to be one more for the future than present."
Kristian replied saying:
"I had the next few years in mind when looking at this deal.

Fleck is exited about playing for the club saying that its a dream come true.

In the next match up against Stoke I used the same formation with no changes to the squad. Steven Gerrard scored a goal in the 1st half. In the second half Stoke equalized, but that was to be short lived when Ill nino himself broke free and scored.

Liverpool 2 - Stoke 1
(Gerrard 38, Torres 74) Fuller

I wasn't very pleased with the scoreline nor the performance of the squad. Although Stoke played well, we gave away possession to cheaply and let Stoke hold on to the ball for long periods of time, that's how the goal was produced.

Ill wrap up the rest of August tomorrow morning (Sydney time :P)

I personally like my story so far. Just a bit sad I have no comments. I feel like I'm talking to myself. :'(:'(:'(:'(:'( Hope somebody comes around to reading it. Quite compelling if you ask me.

Hehe. Quite alright. Fleck will do fine as his replacement I reckon. In the long and short run.

Ahhh don't think Fleck is good enough for Liverpool, particularly at the start of the game.

Will regret selling Benny ;)

Champions cup draw!!!

I'm pretty pleased with the draw. OPOEL don't seem like a big threat and Olympiakos are definitely beatable. If I were to have any troubles, it would be against sporting.

AHHH Annoyed.... Drew against Pompy 1-1. I have got to make a few changes. Torres isn't getting the ball as much as he should be.

Pompy 1 - 1 Liverpool
Boateng(57) Vukcevic (17)

NEW SIGNING
Liverpool boss has signed right winger Arda Turan for 15M. Kristian says that the buy took quite a chunk out of his budget, but hopes for the best with the signing.

AUGUST ROUNDUP

Not a great start to the season. Droping points against Pompy and Everton. Although on a good note, picking up one good buy Arda Turan. The league cup has just been drawn, and ooohhhh what a ******!!!!! I'm away to Manchester United in the 1st round. Oh well, guess all things can't go well for you.

Also to end on a good note, Gerrard scooped up the player of the month award and was also included in the team of the month.

So the Table at the end of August stands as follows.

Not bad only three points behind Man United. But its to early to say anything. My fixtures for September are:

Vs Arsenal (EPL) H
Vs APOEL (CHAMP) A
Vs Man City (EPL) A
Vs Man United (CUP) A
Vs Birmingham (EPL) H
Vs Olympiakos (CHAMP) H

September

Big match against Arsenal coming up. Gerrard picked up a knock playing for England but should be back for the match. Sky Bet odds just came out.

Not to bad. Just got to play well. Packed month in September. Got City, United and Arsenal. Need good performances.

The match against Arsenal sees Turan making his Liverpool debut. Hope he plays well. I have moved Gerrard into the central midfield play-maker role, so that Torres has more space to work with, and Turan and Vucevic both playing as Inside forwards due to their fantastic dribbling techniques.

A very good 3-0 win against Arsenal. Vukcevic scored a screaming free kick in the first half. In the second half Vukcevic ran down the the flank and put in a cross and Gerrard got onto the end of it. Later on Reina took a goal kick and Torres got to it on the run and placed it past the keeper. Pleased with the result and the performance.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Arsenal
Vukcevic(23)
Gerrard (69)
Torres (75)

---------- Post added at 04:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:22 AM ----------

Easy victory for Liverpool against APOEL with Kuyt scoring two goals and Torres also scoring two goals. John Fleck had his first start today and played very well, creating two goals. Kuyt was given the man of the match. He really stood out today.

OPOLE 0 - 4 Liverpool
Kuyt (56,66)
Torres (61,78)

Very good start to August by my standards. But we were sure to beat OPOLE. Still got Man City and Man United to worry about. Bit of a worry in the last game. No goals in the first half. Guess my half time team talk helped xD.

WOOP! Won at Man City. Good game overall but they kept coming. Had to start playing defensive in the second half. We had our chances but I'm happy with the small scoreline. Torres scoring a really good trademark goal.

Manchester City 0 - 1 Liverpool
Torres (11)

Hehe I can be very cunning can't I?

I've seen what wonderkids like Fleck can do so I'm going to try give him a few starts and put him on a hard training schedule. He looks really promising. Played well when I subbed him on for Vukcevic during the City match.

Cup match against Manchester United away from home. Going to be a real close one. I hope this months form continues. Gerrard has been playing well in the center midfield position so that's were I'm going to play him. Mote pf a defensive approach to this game because United are hard to beat at home.
Here are the lineups.

A loose against Man United sees Liverpool knocked out of the League Cup. Didn't want to say anything to the press. We had our chances and didn't finish them. Annoyed about the passing, a lot of it went straight to the opponent. Man united played a good game though. Skirtl made the mistake which led to the goal. He missed the interception. Benched for next game.

Manchester United 1- 0 Liverpool
Bervatov (65)

Next game is against a 19th placed Birmingham. Hope to get a good result playing at home, finally after 3 matches. Winning here would see me go into 1 place behind Man U.

Unlucky against United, tough draw though but you have to beat the likes of them to win it :P

Turan could be a good buy and is a decent replacement for Benayoun (I used him on the right when I sold Kuyt).

Top signings mate, but i agree, mistake selling benayoun,, you'll miss him. good luck

A steady enough start to the season. Those tweaks in formation seem to be effective, too.

Have you found yourself missing Benayoun at all yet? I can see Vukevic has settled in and already doing well, so that already seems a very shrewd signing. How has Dufour been faring in the middle of the park? Good luck challenging for the Premiership.

I'm not at all worried about Benayoun's departure. Bufour isn't doing to bad, but he isn't performing the way I would have liked him to perform. But I'm sure that's just a settling problem. Kuyt performing pretty well to, don't think ill need to replace him for a while.

Can't upload much at the moment because my internet is capped. Went over my download usage :(......

More will come in the week....

Absolutely DEMOLISHED a last place Birmingham. Even with 10 men they were nothing but... whats the word??? ****?. No goals from Torres but he did have a good game. Steven Gerrard was the player of the match with a match rating of 9.4. He scored a penalty and created many chances.

Going to definitely play Kuyt more often. That guy is a legend. Masch suspended because of red card. Issued him a warning.

Man United lost to Everton 1-3. Great result for me. Arsenal drew to West Ham, another good result. Man city also drawing to Bolton 1-1... this gets better and better!!

Very easy win for Liverpool against Olympiakos. John Fleck was included in the starting 11 because Vukcevic isn't registered :@

Liverpool 3 - 0 Olympiakos
Gerrard (8)
Defour (30)
Kuyt (53)

Steven Gerrard once again the man of the match with a match rating of 8.8. Really good performance all around. Had to bench Gerrard and Torres early because of the Chelsea fixture in mid week.

September Roundup

GREAT!! Results against Man C, Arsenal and Birmingham in the league. Bit disappointed about the loss to Man United in the league cup but still a good month nevertheless. Two good results in the Champions cup put me in a good position to qualify for next round.

Not very surprising. 3 Great results in the league leads to it. Hopfully the form can continue.

Surprised about that..... He is performing pretty well, but he is not standing out either. Ther
e mustn't be too much competition then.(H)

Now for the standings at the September!!!!

My fixtures for October are:

Vs Chelsea (EPL) A
Vs Burnley (EPL) H
Vs Sporting CP (Champ) A
Vs Wolves (EPL) A
Vs Bolton (EPL) A

---------- Post added at 04:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:35 PM ----------

October

Big match afainst Chelsea in mid week. Masch is suspended and Aquilani back from injury so he will replace him. Even though we are playing away, I have no choice but to play a more attacking line up. Got to play more narrow against Chelsea and keep the defense high.

Here are the lineups.

5-1 lose to Chelsea. I don't know what happened. All I know is that we conceded 3 goals from corners. I am extremely ticked off at the moment.XDXDXDXDXDXDXD

You guys have a look and tell me what went wrong for me. I know Chelsea are a hard team to break at their home. BUT 3 GOALS FROM CORNERS...... Jeez..
To make matters worse Vukcevic got injured and is out for 3 weeks....sigh... Didnt't want to speak to the press, and I did SLAM the team. The only player who performed was Torres.

---------- Post added at 04:36 AM ---------- Previous post was yesterday at 04:40 PM ----------

Easy win against Burnley

Liverpool 2 - 0 Burnley
Gerrard 56
Torres 62

CHAMPIONS league match against Sporting CP. Should be an easy 3 points. Sporting can be dangerous though. With the likes of Veloso (Whom I intend to sign soon), Fernandes and Moutiniho. Two of which are injured or suspended.

What do you guys think??
Next transfer window signing Veloso to replace Defour?? Defour was a cheap signing to help out my midfield crisis. Was thinking of signing Veloso but didn't have the funds. Playing him as a deep lying play-maker next to Mascherano would be useful.??
Like your opinions on this.. (H)

NEW STAFF SIGNING

Oliver Bierhoff - Scout

Not a bad performance. There was not much in the game. They held possession in the first half until we started to play more narrow and started to close them down. Chances were there but not good enough. Still happy with the win.

---------- Post added at 05:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:33 PM ----------

Vukcevic fit and back for the next fixture against Wolves. Defiantly looking to attack in this fixture.

HA-TRICK HERO MUCH?? Gerrard had a really good game. So did Vukcevic. He was involved in two of the goals. Good performance. But hay, it was only Wolves. Better not get too overconfident.

---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:13 PM ----------

Bolton 0 - 1 Liverpool
Gerrard 50
Seeing more good form from Gerrard and Vukcevic.

October Roundup
Once again a fairly good month. One big upset at Chelsea. I would have liked to loose by at least only one goal. And conceding most of them from corners makes it worse.

Gerard just seems to be playing better and better. Torres is yet to have a big impact but is playing at a level that I'm satisfied with. Although he hasn't scored many goals, Vukcevic is playing very well. Being the focal point of many attacks along with Gerrard. He is turning out to be a very good buy.

(can't show the table for the end of Oct, but will soon. I am coming 1st on goal difference with Chelsea following me.

My fixtures for November are:

Vs Sporting CP (Champ) H
Vs West Ham (EPL) H
Vs Hull (EPL) H
Vs APOEL (Champ) A
Vs Sunderland (EPL) H

Finally some home fixtures. Looks like a good month for me in the EPL. Looking to win at home.

I'd hang on to Defour for now, on some of my games he's turned out world-class. You're only into October so I'd wait until May before you decide what to do with him. If possible try to loan him out in January and make a bit money back if he's playing abysmal but he's definitely handy to keep around for another 1-2 seasons to see how he turns out.

Another win against CP. IS it possible for Mascherano to not get booked for one match? He got sent off in the 7th minute for *&%^$ sakes. Had to fine him, and he accepted it. Fernando picked up a knock, so I had to replace him late in the game. N'gog scored his 1st goal for Liverpool. Steven Gerard and John Fleck both played very well.

This win sees me qualified for the next round of the Champions League. Good start to the month.

Liverpool 1 - 0 West Ham
Johnson (31)

Surprising screamer in the 1st half was all that was in it. We dominated possession but didn't use it to create chances. Torres once again picked up a knock and now is out for 5 days, but he will be back for the Hull match. Mascherano is suspended because he has reached the yellow card limit. SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't have a game for 14 days.

This is what happens when you play without a holding midfielder against a very weak team. Masch is suspended so I decided to play Vukcevic as Attacking mid, Fleck on the left and Defour and Gerrard in the middle. Worked like a charm. Gerrard was BRILLIANT! What I don't understand though. WHY ISN'T TORRES SCORING GOALS!!!!! I've played him so much and he has only scored few. I do have patience and will wait and see what happens, but he better start scoring soon.

In the same week Chelsea lost to Tottenham 1-0. Good result for me seeing as though they are right behind me. Man united beat Birmingham 3-0 so they are still 3 points behind. Table coming at the end of the month.

---------- Post added at 02:58 AM ---------- Previous post was yesterday at 06:19 AM ----------

That's..........not good. I do have Kyriakos to play in his place but to me he is not of Jamie's ability. He might just make it back for the game against Spurs next month.

Hehe. Good for him ay... Hopefully we can bring it up to five in the near future. Already through to the next round of the champions cup so I'm not going to play a full strength squad. Don't want Masch to get suspended...... AGAIN! So ill give him and a few others a rest.

Liverpool 6 - 0APOEL
Gerrard (7,12,45,47)
Aquilani(66)
Ell Zhar (82

Another 4 goals for Gerrard hehe. To easy ay? Still no goals for Torres....... Mascherano is back for the next fixture against Sunderland. Playing at home, want to attack. Playing Masch in the middle as a ball winning midfielder this time.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Sunderland
Defour (42)
Vukcevic (73)

The Torres goal drought continues. But other players who don't score goals often like Defour and Vukcevic are putting them in. Defour scored a 35 yard screamer.

November Roundup

Vs Tottenham
Vs Olympiakos
Vs Aston Villa
Vs Man United
Vs Fulham
Vs Blackburn
Vs
Everton
Vs Ipswich

Ooh my. So many Fixtures.
Drawn against Ipswich in the 3rd round of the FA cup.
Currently scouting young players for future plans. Need a backup for Gerrard and Carragher for when they get old. And possibly a backup for Torres. But that's not needed as of yet.

Not surprising. But I am surprised that Gerrard didn't get player of the month. Tevez got it. He has been playing well but not better than Stevie.

---------- Post added at 04:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:58 AM ----------

December

Stevie and Jamie injured. And what a time to do it. Just before the Tottenham match. He can still play, but is slightly injured. I'll keep him on bench just in case.

Tottenham 3 -
2 Liverpool
Lennon (46) Vukcevic (44)
Defoe (52) Torres (80)
Crouch (58)

Well the good news is that Torres finally broke his Goal drought. The bad news is that the game against Tottenham was riddled with mistakes. Defenders did not pick up runners and we were passing the ball to no one. Very disappointing.

Turan is injured for 5 days. Don't think he will miss anything seeing that he isn't registered for the Champions cup. Because of the many games to be played this month i'll be playing some reserve players in the fixture against Olympiakos

Olympiakos 0 - 1 Liverpool
Fleck (88)

Won the game with many reserve players on the field. Good performance from Fleck. Insua picked up a knock and is out for 4-5 days.
