Its been a year since a young talented manager was brought in to manage Valencia. During the first year, only 2.5 million was given for the transfer budget. Adrian had to made do with the budget, selling off Nacho Gonzalez for 2.2 M, in order to bring in Diego Godin from rivals Villareal for 4.4 M. There were many fans who doubted this move, but Adrian knew he had to get in serious defensive back up as Raul Alboi was just sold to R Madrid. An aging but still reliable Beckham was bought in for half a million to boost the weak midfield. With the starting line up below:

GK - Moya
DR - Miguel
DL - Mathieu
DC - Marchena (captain)
DC - Godin
MC - Beckham
MC - Albelda
AMR - Joaquin
AML - Mata
AMC - Silva
ST - Villa

With Hot prospects - Hernandez and Alba supporting the team in time of injuries, and Villa on superb form firing to top scorer 36 goals, Valencia managed to climbed to a good position of 3rd in the La Liga, beyond's the board's expectation. Half way through the season, I decided to buy Montolivio for 13M, for fear that Beckham would not last the whole season in superb form. Now the second season is about to start. Can I go one level up and be second, or will I finally claim the title for Valencia once again.
