Buffon replacement?

Sadly Buffon is coming to the end of his illustrious career. That man is single handedly keeping me in front. ANt sugestions for any young gk that can be as good as him or a middle aged gk? As far as stats go Buffon is the mostt complete keeper in the game by a mile. Is there anyone close that I can get? No cassilas or neuer, doubt they would come tbh.

Was going to sign him but him but his sweeping ability is rubbish, I guess in Italy I would never have to use him as a sweeper, no? I was also thinking Adler and That ter segen kid...? Any thoughts?

I can't wait that long, Buffon has saved me time and time again, I need a reliable keeper, I play with and extremely high line so 1 on 1 good keeper is necessary, Since I don't use them as sweepers!

ter Stegen is originally from Gladbach so you missed out on him, you could try Szczesny instead

Iker Casillas is your answer. He is a real madrid goalkeeper. No one here really talks about him though, but he is immense.


If you want younger, try to look at
De Gea (ManUTd), or Neuer (Bayern); those two are young and good too.

Could look for a regen maybe. Often one or two regens come out per year that can cut the first team right away of big teams.

Braniescu is class in a few years.

I'd give him the playing time and experience rather than splashing the cash for a GK. He won't lose you too many games.

Yea he is but Real will never sell, Iker and Valdes are the two best GK at the start then Neuer will eventually take over...

ter-Stegen is class. Was almost pushing Reina out of the squad in my Liverpool save.
Eventually he got ****** of, I had to sell him and bought Cortois, which isn't really important. Point is, he is class. Probably one of the best GK's in the game. Potentially at least.

Exact same thing here, Buffon was excellent in first season but his reflexes have already gone down 2 points in the 2nd(although his 1v1 went up to 19). He is probably still good enough but i went ahead and bought ter stegen already and have only been using him this second season, definitely an excellent player. I also unnecessarily bought carlos kameni, who is a very good value, although I'm gonna get rid of him since ter stegen, with the romanian as a backup, should be enough for the next 15 seasons.

Steve Mandanda is quality. I got him for 10m for Milan and with defence of Abate,Vertonghen/Astori, Thiago Silva and Criscito I have conceded only 5 goals before january.

He's quite young also so will hold the fort for next 10 years.
