It was the year 2020. Middlesbrough had just come off a Champions Cup Qualifying season in the English Premier League and, upon their recent success, decided to stock up on physios; nobody likes a squad of injured players. Prior to hiring physios, Boro had 13 "other staff" for their senior team. After the hiring of some qualified candidates, that number swelled to 20. Overjoyed with the strength of their physio staff, the manager logged off content in his day's work. However, when the manager next logged on, that number had again dropped to 13. Curious, indeed!

All messing around aside, has this happened to anyone else? No matter how many physios I hire, they always disappear when I next log on. My "other staff" cap is at 25 so that shouldn't be the issue. Football manager, give me back my legions (of physios)!

Update: My staff page still only shows about 7 physios. However, when I search for staff and sort by club, it shows that my team has about 30 physios. I'm guessing they're still taking their salaries as well...sigh. And now all my strikers are injured which means they must not actually be working for me. Grrah!

This is really strange... surprised no one else has chimed in.

I've checked my club and there's no issues. 2020 does seem pretty far in though so a million different things could have happened between now and when you began in a "bug" context. Sucks but it seems the only way you'll figure out this issue is through trial and error so starting a new save, checking if the same bugs persist, etc. otherwise I don't know any fixes and never heard of anything remotely like this except for the "Berardi issue" which was linked to a specific player's contract and that player wasn't necessarily ever tied to any club. Same kind of principle could be happening here, but how... that's kinda what you're after too I guess! Ha!

Thanks for the reply! It's strange how nobody else has ran into this issue. I submitted a thread on the SI bug forums so hopefully they provide some kind of help
