Hello everyone!

I'm currently managing huddersfield town and have got them into the championship. It's currently the 12/13 season - nearing the end - and i'm most probably going to secure a place in the play offs meaning the brilliant chance of getting into the premiership.

My last thread posed the question of financial issues - apparently there's hope for me. http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/fm-2011-general-discussion/79617-will-my-club-ever-bag-some-cash.html

I would like to know if I will be able to build a new stadium. My board have actually agreed to buy the stadium off the owners which is great news. But there is still no option to expand or re build. Being a league 1 club normally, huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium is rather small and definitely would need expanding for the premiership considering it sells out most games.

-Is there no room in huddersfield for a new stadium, and is this a reason? or does football manager not consider this?
-If i build a new stadium does it become the new Galpharm Stadium, or do I get to name it; how does this work?
-Does money for this come out of the clubs funds, or is it something the board fork out separately?

Cheeers en' experienced stadium builders!

If you've just bought your stadium the chances of the board deciding to build a new one are very slim

As youve just bought your stadium i reckon the board wouldnt be inclined to build you a new one anytime soon.

You need to keep filling your stadium regularly and get at least 95% filling of the stadium over the season and suggest that the stadium gets expanded. the board should agree so long as youve got a bit of money in the bank and perhaps offset the rest with prize money toward the end of the season.

You should probably look to keep expanding and you will be told when you cant expand any more. Then you'll need to build up some finances for the board to consider building a new stadium. The stadium is usually named after an legend of the club, so if you stay for a long time and bring success they can name it after you.

good luck!

Not in my Venezia save apparently. 7,500 seats, bought the stadium to expand it. Then got to Serie A and found a lot of cash and they decided they'll sell the stadium (for more than they bought it for) and build a new one.
