Mick McCarthy leaves Wolves for Genoa
mick-mccarthy-528526872.jpg

Wolves have today confirmed that Mick McCarthy has left the club and joined Genoa on a 3 year deal. The club have confirmed that they will be looking for potential managers. While the club are looking they have appointed Terry O'Conner as the caretaker manager. Fans were seen rejoycing outside Molineux after the news had filtered through of the sacking of McCarthy and security was called to escorte Mick McCarthy off the premesis. Fans spokesman Barry Baker was sad to see McCarthy go but said the time was right for him to move on and Wolves needed a fresh approach to its game. Baker continued to add that McCarthy had done wonders at Wolves but he could not see McCarthy take Wolves any further than he already had done. McCarthy had found a few great players on such a low value. He had spent just brought Kevin Doyle for a record fee of £6.5m but decided to join Genoa.

Wolves chairman Steve Morgan has indicated that Wolves have already found a new manager and are very pleased to have negotiated what seems to be a contract with the unknown manager. Many fans in recent days have speculated that current Blackburn Rovers Manager and local boy Sam Allardyce is the front runner for the job, but Morgan quickly dampened rumors that he was possibly to expensive for Wolves.

At some point tomorrow Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan has indicated that Wolves will annouce the new Wolves manager and the new appointment will accounce his outline for the future of the club.

Note: i have put centre around the text, yet it wont do it, please help. Also not that this is my very first story so please go easy! :D

BULLY'S BACK!
At around 12am today Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan announced that Wolves Legend Steve Bull would be taking the vacant managerial role at Wolves. All Wolves fans have a great respect from the legened that is 'Bully'. Bully made his debut for Wolves was against Wrexham on 22 November 1986. He made 464 league appearances for the club, 561 appearances in total, scoring 306 goals for Wolves. On leaving Wolves, he went on to play 12 games for Hereford United where he rejoined his old manager Graham Turner.

Bull continued to perform well in the second tier of the English league, and stayed loyal to his Midlands roots despite interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Coventry City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Lazio, Boca Juniors, Newcastle United and even the Italian giants Juventus and Genoa who reportedly had a £3.5m bid turned down prior to the 1990 world cup.

Steve Bull was capped 13 times for the England team, and scored 4 goals in the build up to Italia 90. He went on to score 2 more goals in a friendly against Czechoslovakia in 1989-90, one of which was voted in as number 37 of England's 50 Greatest Goals. His final England goal was against Tunisia, which earned him a place in Bobby Robson's World Cup Squad.

BULLY'S FIRST SIGNING!
Steve Bull today made his first signing as Wolves boss, he was advised by his scouts that Mats Rits would be a great prospect for the future. He took a gamble and bid a offer rumoured to be worth around £750,000. The offer was accsepted by his club Germinal Beerschot. Mats Rits whos birthday is 18th July 1993, chose a somewhat strange number to be, he picked #86. However, it is rumoured that Mats will join the academy and mature before he is used in the first team. Bully was quoted in saying the the press conference "that he is still looking to look for a few more signings".

That picture of Mat Rits is gonna give me nightmares !

Good luck !

BULLY'S BRILLIANCE!
Wolves manager Steve Bull pulled off two signings what could soon turn out to be signings of the century. He successfully negotiated with Spurs to sign tireless midfeilder Jamie O'Hara for a bargain of just £2.7m. Steve Bull was also reportedly interested in another Spurs centre Midfielder Jermain Jenas for around the £3m mark. Bully then pulled off another impressive signing in Ezequiel Garay, for a deal rumoured to be around £2.7 million, Steve Bull who was only given £7.5m is said to be very pleased with his signings and pleased that the fans are impressed. When the press asked him if he was looking for anymore players he responded, "i am keeping tabs on a few players, but i want to keep who they are private."

Pre-Season friendlies: Charlton 1 - 0 Wolves. Steve Bull will not be impressed with the way his side performed against Charlton. However, he did feild a weakened side, and did look to give the 'bench-warmers' a chance to prove themselves - which i'm sure will impress a few fans! He would have hoped that the teams next performance, away to Telford, will be much much better!
Telford 0 - 5. Wolves won this game confhtably, unsuprisingly it was Kevin Doyle who scored fro the visitors early in the first half. It was then loanee Mujangi Bia who made it 2-0 with 31minutes gone. The teams went into the break and Wolves looked like a MUCH better team after it! it took them 11 minutes to make it 3 - 0, yes it was that man Kevin Doyle again. David jones then made it 4 - 0 on 73 minutes with a superbly placed shot, right in the top corner. Nenad Milijas then rounded off the rout with a perfectly placed shot from the edge of the D, Steve Bull will be much more impressed with his team after this performance!
Dunfermline 0 - 4 Wolves. Wolves looked to be going for the win right from the off, but fair play to Wolves legend and new manager Steve Bull, like he said the news conference, "everyone will get a chance to prove themselves" and thats exactly what he did, he started some of the youngsters and they didnt dissapoint. Wolves youngster James Spray made it 1 - 0 after 18minutes with a superb solo-effort, which should have impressed his new manager. The game died down and the teams went into half time with Wolves leading 1 - 0. Bully decided to add abit more attacking options when he bought on in-form attack Kevin Doyle and new-boy Steven Fletcher! Kevin Doyle then spiced things up with a super bullet-header on 51 minutes, but it was Fletchers turn to get two goals with his great brace grabbing his goals on 78 and 83 minutes.
FCV Dender 0 - 2 Wolves. Wolves then went to ???? to play Dender and did not dissapoint the away fans, with goals from Greg Halford, and that man Kevin Doyle gave Wolves a comphtable 2-0 win.
Turnhout 0 - 4 Wolves. This pre-season has been a superb start to Steve Bulls managerial career, apart from the first game wolves have scored 15 goals in 4 games, which is pretty impressive, and they didnt dissapoint today. Steven Fletcher, Kevin Doyle, Greg Halford and Karl Henry all grabbing a goal in this vicios affair, where Turnhout had a player sent off, and Wolves 'hardman' Karl Henry also getting a red card.
Kapellen 0 - 2 Wolves. Wolves pleased the away support yet again, with a 2 - 0 win against Kapellen, and guess who scored? That man Kevin Doyle, and suprisingly Greg Halford getting 3 goals in 3 games from a midfeilder!

I'm sure Bully will look to press on and have a successful season in the Barclasy Premier League.

Media Prediction: 11th.

Wolves win first home game!
Wolves 2 - 1 Bolton
Nenad Milijas (45+2) Steven Fletcher (49) - Ricardo Gardner (57)

Man of the Match: Nenad Milijas
milijas.jpg

Match Report: Both of these teams will be looking for a mid-table finish, but it was Coyle who was playing mindgames with new Wolves manager Steve Bull, saying that "Wolves will struggle this season" but it was Bully who come out on top, with his team starting on top. Wolves hasd a few early attempts on goal, but Bolton came back at them looking for a 1 - 0 lead, but when both teams looked like they was going in 0 - 0 at half time, Nenad Milijas come up with the goods - a 30 yard thunder bolt! And each team went in with Wolves leading 1 - 0. Wolves come out fighting for a 2 - 0 lead, Bully must have said something and they were 2 - 0 withing 4 minutes after the restart, when Steven Fletcher scored a terriffic header. Bolton then pulled a goal back through Ricardo Gardner on 57 minutes. It was a nervy finish for wolves but they held on for a deserved 2 - 1 win.

Wolves draw 0-0 at The Stadium of Light.
Sunderland 0 - 0 Wolves
Man of the Match: Lee Cattermole

Match Report: This was a pretty even match, with both teams looking for a win. They both created good chances but couldnt get it past either keeper. The best effort of the game fell to Steven Fletcher who was clean through but couldnt put it past Minouglet. I'm sure both teams wanted a goal, but overall a draw was the best result. Bully will be looking for his team to improve after this performance and grab a few goals against Everton!

Wolves at stalemate with Everton.
Wolves 2 - 2 Everton
Steven Fletcher (51) Ezequiel Garay (90+2) - Jermaine Beckford (11) Mikel Arteta (50)

Man of the Match: Tim Howard
timhoward.jpg

Match Report: It was Everton who started better than Wolves, and it took just 11minutes for them to be ahead, it was Jermaine Beckford who put them ahead, when he beat the offside trap and slid it past the oncoming Wayne Hennesey. The game went quiet but both teams still threatened each others goals but neither was able to find the back of the net. Then both teams went in with Everton leading 1 - 0. The game then didn't get any better for Wolves, with Mikel Arteta scoring a teriffic strike from the edge of the area - unstoppable for Hennessey. Wolves then scored straight from the kick off with a great passing move which ended up with Steven Fletcher finishing of the move with a niceley placed shot. The game then went quiet, but still looked like a goal was on the cards. Just when the Everton fans getting ready to leave with all 3 points Wolves new boy Ezequiel Garay grabbed a dramatic late equaliser with the last kick of the game from a superbly placed powerful header, from a brilliant corner from Nenad Milijas! Bully will be very pleased with his teams performance.

Unsurprising win for Wolves at Griffin Park.
Brentford 1 - 3 Wolves
Gary Alexander (73) - Michael Kightly (3, 26) Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (53)

Man of the Match: Michael Kightly

Match Report: Unsurprisingly it was Wolves who ended up winning this - and it was very comfortable for them all through the game, Super right winger got on the score sheet twice and was unlucky not to get a hat-trick. Steve Bull decided to rest Kevin Doyle and give Sylvan a start - and Sylvan paid him back by grabbing a goal. Brentford did grab a goal back, but it was only a concelation. Wolves face a tough test at Chelsea on the weekend.

Chelsea fail to make chances pay!
Chelsea 1 - 1 Wolves
Yury Zhirkov (36) - Nenad Milijas (42)

Man of the Match: Wayne Hennessy
heno.jpg

Match Report: Chelsea unsurprisingly dominated this game from start to finish, but they couldn't make they chances pay. It was Chelsea who had the first chance, and it fell to Didier Drogba, who strangely failed to hit the target. Wayne Hennessey was far busier that his opposite number Cech. The game still remained very lively and it was Chelsea who broke the deadlock through Yury Zhirkov on 36 minutes. Then shortly before halftime it was Nenad Milijas for Wolves who scored the next goal to make it 1 - 1. What a season he is having! The teams then went into half time all level. And suprisingly Chelsea didnt add to their 1 goal and the game finished 1 - 1. Which i'm sure Bully would have been the happier out of the two managers!
