Burnley announce their retained list for next season with defenders Steven Caldwell and Stephen Jordan leaving Turf Moor.

i think newcastle sould try for caldwell as back-up he is a quality player

Well done to Alexander for staying - he could easily move- pity about Caldwell he's a class player, i agree mr. Given..

yer i thought that, maybie a team coming in the premiership.

At least he's not as bad as his brother :D. Like a lame horse he should be put down

Was he released because of his wage demands?

Although he is still better than Upson, maybe West Ham could pick him up, seeing as they have no money?

He's so good he captained a team to relegation. XD

I think you will find Alexander captained the side for the majority of the season.

Caldwell is a very good defender, he reads the game superbly and is a fantastic leader of men but all this is undone by his lack of pace. This also doesn't help as it forces him into making rash challenges resulting in many a yellow and red card.

I don't think his future lies in the PL, Leeds or Norwich would be my guess.

Wherever he ends up he will be sorely missed at Turf Moor.

look what he was working with last season yet he still did well, but i agree g. brown is quality but his wages and expenses could be a problem

He should join Wigan and make that comical defence even more lol.

Both Caldwell's are terrible.
