BWMs or DLPS

Hey guys

Recently I have read quite alot that bwms are used less as dlps are becoming more the common type of player. I was wondeting if that was actually the case. I generally prefer having players that will bust their guts to get the ball back from the opposition and cover other players. Like Fletcher does or M'villa can.

Fletcher and M'vila are more like Defensive midfielders, Anchors.

A DLP is Xavi, Pirlo etcetera.

DLP's are just playmakers trained to operate like a DM, so they can still win the ball back and work hard but also have exceptional vision and passing ability. A good example of this is Gerrard who is now playing as a DLP
