C.O.D stands Call of Duty, COD is a tasty fish, C.O.D in this instance stands for Circle of Death. I have been disillusioned lately with FM, my 280 goals with Barca kind of killed the game for me. I have been poncing around on my Shrewsbury save for a while and the goals were drying up with V11 I was barely scraping 200 goals in a season and for a team of my calibre that was awful.
Something had to be done, I always love the premise of TFFs tactics but always feel they just don't score enough for my Shrewsbury team, though the results were always outstanding in terms of goal difference. I wanted something that threw everything forward and I wanted 3 strikers because I have no shame in saying I will use the corner exploit. The only way this was possible was to use the fabled 3 AT THE BACK AHHHHHHHH, seems everyone is struggling to get this to work. Hope I cracked it, at home the tactic is dominating I have won half of my games by 10 goals + and the away is so stable, somehow creating 40+ shots but im only winning by a 2 goal (or 5 goal) margin.
So here it is sports fans:

As you can see that circle at the top, scary times. I would say this home tactic is for big teams but just try it and see how it works, here is how it is set out:

The balance I found is really good, but could be rocky without a world class team, its an odd one in terms of set pieces you are going to want one of your outer CBs to have the long throw trait (I am just using a RB there currently) and also one of the outer CBs should take the corners. THAT IS IMPORTANT. Another thing, LM should be right footed, and RM should be left footed, RF should be right footed and LF should be left footed. The runs and confusion is hilarious to watch at times. So here is the home tactic:

A lot more conservative on this one, but the results I have been getting have been outstanding some of the best I have ever seen for an away tactic. Arguably you could also try this one at home. This is standard in the set pieces in the fact that only your LWB or RWB should take corners and one should have the long throw in trait and take all throw ins if they have it. The only strange thing here is your middle CB is the player who attacks the ball from deep on the corner so if he has a good shot that also helps. Heres the away:

Results (since I changed to this system):

Everything is relative, I mean do I have a super team, yes, yes I do. Will I start a new save to test it, no sorry I won't I don't have time (sorry Jason). But give it a go, the football I am seeing being played is brilliant to watch add the corner and throw in exploit goals and you are laughing. If you can find a CB who can play wing back as well and has long throw AKA Calum Chambers you are winning.
Peace, let me know how it goes for you.
All credit goes to TFF this is basically his tactic with roles tweaked and positions tweaked!
Use the opposition instructions from TFF topic and training do whatever you want! Big team attacking movement and small team defensivery positioning? Use your common sense!
