Calm down, Calm down - Liverpool Help

It is official... I am totally rubbish at Football Manager.
I am playing as Liverpool and although i can notch up some nice wins on occasion I end up loosing more than often.
I seem to have games where I dominiate lower league teams and see shot after shot after shot... Their keepers pulls off amazing save time and again before the inevitable happens. One single chance which they put away.
I have tried lots of different tactics as like many before me, I have played these games for a while with mixed success.

Anyone able to offer me some nice advice on what I am doing wrong.
I am talking about starting the game from scratch as Liverpool.

before you start a game, your scout will give you some information of how your opponents gonna play you should tweak your tactics to make your players play to thier weaknesses.

Get Lee's Liverpool tactics. Stick with them for 10 games, changing the variant depending on how the match is going and how your team is playing and how your opponent is playing. That should help to get things stabilised so you can start figuring out how best your players need their instructions tweaking.

Aye the silly fat spanish waiter really knows nothing about tactics. Sacchi and Michels were equally clueless
