Can Someone Please help me? (Network)

My friend and I have tried playing a network game via hamachi and we didn't manage is it even possible through hamachi or do we need to do it via Steam by force?

If so what do we have to do?

u dont use hamachi in FM13 m8 just goto start new online game,and just make sure you tick the run as server box at the top and type a server name in that you will remember,then tellur friend to search for the server name that you made up then-thats you seemplez!!!!!!

We tried that and he couldnt see my game and I couldnt see his either :/
