Cannot save game help ?

When i click save gae it says, save game failed, game could not be saved ??

HELP PLEASE
 
You possibly are saving it to a removeable disk,
Try pressing 'Save as' and choose where to save it
 
Thanks it worked but how do i fix it so when i click save it saves? thanks
 
i want 2 ask,,when i click save or save as,,it says "unable to find Football manager 2011 disc,please make sure it is in the drive" why??
 
i have the same problem. anyone any suggestions ? :/

We can't offer help if we don't know the answer.

I've seen this problem (and the problem of a saved game failing to load again) happen occasionally to people on every version of the game since 06.

In some cases a system restore can work for you, or occasionally you get lucky and the game will save or load one day when you try it out of the blue.
As for the unable to find disc issue, my guess is that you have patched the game incorrectly, either you have patched a steam version yourself, or you have installed the digital version if the patch to the boxed version of the game.

But 99% of the time, it's best to accept that the save is corrupt, you won't be playing it again, and it's best to move on.

thanks bud, an answer is an answer even if it doesnt solve anything and i was simply wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions, your answer is greatly appreciated.

back to the problem though... it does work, it does save. but i just have to re open the game. and load it up and its in the exact same spot, so effectively, it works fine, its just a real hassle having to re open and re load the game. get me? and its straight out of the box, i haven't done anything to it. i've tried re installing it too, and that didnt solve again, although you may be right in saying the save is corrupt. i'll try starting a new game and saving to see if it was only the one save file that was corrupt. either that or i'm off to buy another copy just to give that a go.

Dont buy another copy just yet. You say it's straight out of the box, have you patched it?
 
nope. straight from the box, into the drive, installed.
i only bought it recently so i havent really had time to patch it, i'd rather wait a little longer. would it being a virgin to patchedness affect my ability to save games though ?

Did you try seeing if other saves are affected?
