Can't add new players in editor

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have just installed fm 2010 and a patch which allows me to play as a northern league team. There are some players in the team who are accurate however I would like to add more players to make it more accurate. I have opened the editor and have located the team. I then select staff and players then into players. I then click 'add' but when the box opens, the only option is to search for players - I don't seem to be able to add players. I'm probably doing something really stupid but I just can't work out what it is!!

Any help would be appreciated.
 
You're doing it the wrong way. Here is a quick guide that you and some others may find helpful....

You need to go to the Person tab and then in the bottom right corner click Add and choose Player

Then go to the Contract tab..

Then under Club click the arrow and choose Searc...

Then just search for your team and press OK...

There is a tread on that KVO just search. As you chosing which nations to pick look at the top left it should say something about edited databases.
 
Yes, you're right. Problem is that when I click on it nothing happens. It seems that I can't select the database I would like to play with....... I just want to add a few players that are not in the team and change the kits they are playing with, because it is not correct.

im having xactly the same problem
 
Not sure you should bother!...for some reason all my created payers are duplicated each time you save or merge the database. Got os fed up I deleted them all, then used unknown players and changed their stats instead. Be careful!
 
To TractorDamage : could you tell me how you did it (step by step) to have the changes you've made in your editor got in your game? I've tried a lot of things but don't find it.......... Tx
