Can't add player to your selection

I am manager of bayern munchen and argentina -23 and 1 of my players from the argentina squad is injured and needs to be replaced but i dont know how, the game says that i should add a replacements but when i try to add a person it says that the squad cant be higher than 18 players

any help please?
