I've won the Premier League 2 years running, but I still struggle to beat the top sides in the Premier League (Man U, Man City, Arsenal). I've beaten Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus. What am I doing wrong???

what's ur tactic settings. like mentality, width, defense line ???

Generally when I play top teams I play slightly deep, narrow width and slightly deep. I just played Man City so tried playing to play a bit less defensive to see if it would change things, but lost 1-0. It was a close game, hitting the wood work a few times, so a bit unlucky. But overall I'm usually second best to the top teams. Take a lot of bombardment. Saying that I'm currently playing Barcelona in the 2nd leg of the Champions League and winning 3-2 (they need to 2 goals to goals to win on aggregate).

I've had a similar problem, just finished my 3rd season with liverpool.

I've played arsenal in the league 6 times, fa cup all 3 seasons and carling cup 2 seasons (won it in my first year when didnt play arsenal)

I have lost all of these games against them, they always seem to get a few goals at least, no matter what i do they destroy me

can beat every one else in the league but cant touch arsenal

counter attack it works for me and i am Aston Villa and i have drawn against Arsenal and beat Chelsea :)

For me it's completely random..once I thrashed them 3-0 and yesterday chelsea leading by 4-1 before I get really ****** off and quit the game..though I also mostly lose and few draw :@

Beat Barca in the semi final. Won the league for the 2nd year running. Next meeting Real Madrid in the final. I think I should just got for it and attack. Nothin to lose!

I've noticed the game can be extremely biased to higher reputation teams in your own league.

I can go undefeated in a season, and 1 even 2 teams will match my feat.

I really agree with what your saying. But I also think it goes the other way (unless I'm defending well). I've beaten Barca twice, all 4 times I've played them they had more of the ball and the attacking play. I won by scoring from each of the few chances I had. I can't help thinking the game wants me to progress, but have a feeling I will lose in the final against Real. I'm happy anyway. Just won the league for the second season running, with a game to spare after being 10pts clear, and after doing half a bottle of J&D. Very happy at the moment! The Champions League will just be a bonus. Bed time now!

I've manage man utd, tottenham and atletico madrid and don't have problem beating top team but never really dominate them. Thing that bothers me is even though they field their 2nd team at cup match, I'm struggling to create chances. I have to agree that the game is so biased against the top 4

I like 4-2-3-1 much, but maybe give it a try?

4 defenders
2 defending midfielders (centres)
3 attacking midfielders
1 striker

The idea would be big defence, and also have a lot of attacking players there, most at the midfield.
So after their pressure attack, you could outnumber or at least have a decent change at the counter.
But you need a good striker then, that is technically and fast and finish his changes.
Think this would be the best for countering, as long some other players do their passes well.

Believe me I've tried having plenty of defensive players, but they still seem to get through time after time. It's just wave after wave of Arsenal attacking. If I do score it generally on the counter attack. What usually happens is I start off defensive and Arsenal score early. I usually keep it defensive for a while and bide my time, but it's not long until they score again. And then I have to got for offensive (I start swearing at the screen). I usually get a goal back, sometimes two, sometimes hold on for a draw, but usually concede late on after getting back in the game. And the last few times I've played them I've created just as many and better chances, hit the wood work a few times, and still lost. I now set up less defensive and hope we score some goals instead of just defending for the first half.
