Can't buy players indispensable to their teams in FM2014

Can't buy players indispensable to their teams in FM2014. I tried to buy Balotelli and Falcao but their teams won't sell them no matter how much I offer. I even offered 120 million euros upfront but the bids were rejected. Any idea how to get the players.

Unless you unsettle the players, it's very, very tough to get players who are indispensable to club. It varies from club to club though. Sometimes it's pretty easy to get them (Umtiti). But the big names are invariably tough (Lukaku etc). Unsettle them, hope for the best, I guess.

It?s very hard, you have to show interest in buying the player, if he wants to go to your club, he will push to be selled, and sometimes will not get a new contract, but you have to be a bigger club than the other one. It worked with me two times, I managed to buy Vergini from Estudiantes and Jesus Datolo didn?t get a new contract, I?m playing as Boca Juniors

Playing as Athletic I desperately needed a new GK and I'd missed out on Ruffier a year earlier when he went to Monaco. Obviously only being able to sign Basque players made him my only decent option as an improvement on what I had. Two years of putting in bids and declaring interest and I finally got him for nearly 10x his value (30million for a 30 year old). I was listed as his favoured personnel by that point but I couldn't fully unsettle him because of the club stature. Very satisfying when I finally got him!

So it can be done, but be prepared to either: 1) be in for the long haul, or 2) find another player
