Can't convince international players to change nations.

Hi I'm doing a save where I am managing Monaco and the Republic of Ireland national team and I have noticed a problem where when I try to convince any player with dual nationality to join Ireland they will refuse to do so after they refuse once they never seem willing to dicuss the matter again. It also happens with players who should be on the Irish team like the ones who play for Derry city, for some reason they all seem to pick Northern Ireland which is unrealistic if you know anything about the club. If anyone is having the same problem or figured out the solution please get back to me.
