Can't get the best out of Edison Cavani..

mixing up between 4-2-4 & 4-2-3-1 he has all the stats to be a Poacher great pace, but can't get him to score at all, tried with play to feet, run onto ball etc. but no luck tried him as a complete forward too and not much success either, stats wise he is very very good, how do i get the best out of him? Thanks

Or just like James said, use him as a target man.
 
i have him in a 4-3-3 and he scored over 40 goals !!!
 
Complete forward in my experience is best if you are using him as a lone striker. Or if you are playing 2 up front then Target Man with a Poacher for his strike partner.
 
he can play multiple roles from Deep Lying Forward till Complete one.
IMO the most suitable depends on your tactic and even more from others players - are they typical wingers, inside forwards, advanced playmakers.
F.e. I use him mainly (not only, but mainly) as deep lying lone forward - basically false number nine - with inside forward in one and winger in other side. Cavani moves into channels a lot and reads the game very well at the same time creating a space for others and dragging defenders out. But he is also lethal finisher IF feeded well enough.
 
Hey for Cavani.Poacher is the best.I bought him for my Barca 3rd season and he scored 56 gls and 25 assts
 
As target man he scored about 63 goals in 37 games in my Arsenal
