Cant install FM12 says "steam code is already registered with a different user name"

Hello i've just given a copy of FM12 to a friend as i've moved onto FM13. I uninstalled it from steam but every time he tried to load it it says "steam code is already registered with a different user name"

What do i have to do so its not regestered on my Steam?

unfortunatley i dont think he'll be able to play it unless he plays through your steam account i gave my fm 12 to a friend and he couldnt even play it offline
