Can't Register Help

I am playing fmh14 on my mobile and managing England. Ashley cole retired in the middle of the season and I only have 21 players now in my squad. The game says I have to have 22 players to register. Now I cannot continue with my game as it is a must respond.
please help

I think there should be an option in your newsfeed to call up a person to replace Cole. However, this is in FM, no idea about Handheld.
