I am managing FC Inter Turku of Finland at the moment and the Finland Job recently became available. I am sure I am the perfect candidate and so I applied. To my shock, a few days later Shefki Kuqi is named as manager. He has only ever managed West Ham when he took them from 12th to 20th in the EPL in 6 months before being sacked.

I decided to go back and test if resigning and applying worked. It did and I was manager of Finland (I didn't keep this though, I'm not a cheater.) Then I reapplied for the Inter Turku job and they approach me but theres no option top accept.

Clearly, the game won't let me have two jobs! This is extremely annoying as the whole point of my save is too lead Finland and Inter Turku to be the best team/nation in the world. I know I am supposed to be able to do this so does anyone know why I can't and if anything can be done?

(I play with Steam and have the latest patch, 11.2.1)

Thanks

I didn't know you could manage two teams as one player at the same time... I could be wrong though.

Strange. I had both the Arsenal and England job on one of my saves.

Really? ****, I want the England job too, along with my United job...

Seems like a bug. Something similar happened to me with San Marino club & country: the NT would appoint any obscure manager from sammarinese amateur league instead of me (serie A winner with San Marino club, CL runner up, sammarinese 2nd nationality, world class reputation). But if I created another manager at NT and then apply for the club they would gladly appoint "him" (despite having no experience and San Marino now being a top club in Italy). Quite annoying.

Hm... I think the problem is your resignation. Maybe you can't reapply for the job immediately? Wait for Kuqi to **** it up and then try again, imo.

Well It turns out I can get other national jobs. I applied for USA and some other ones and they offered it top me. The only one I can't get is Finland, which Is annoying because that's the only one I want!

You can manage two teams as long as one is a club and the other is a national team.

Maybe he was hired because they felt with no other responsibility then he's the best option. Where as if you took the job your mind would be in 2 places rather than just soley on the National team.

I had Robbie Keane beat me to a Barca job when he never managed before so that happens in games ;)

I'm Exeter and Peru atm, and was Sutton United and Brazil and one point in fm08

I agree with this opinion. It seems they want a manager who doesn't split his work between NT and a club in the same time. That's why they approched Kuqi (and you after your resignation).

Nevertheless, I had no problem to get Egypt job while managing Maccabi Haifa and Ivory Coast job while managing Corinthians.

I had Inter and England at one point, failed to get past the group stage in the 2014 World Cup so I resigned through embarrasment :$
