Captial One Cup Away Goals

I was under the impression that the League Cup took away goals into account.

2-2 Home leg
1-1 Away leg

Surely I should be out right? Just got into extra time then so can somebody verify the away goals rule in this competition please as this could be a huge issue.

Are you sure? The press were going on about them scoring away goals so I gave the answer that I have to go for the win because I can't see another 2-2 on the cards.

Yeahhhh you're right! Bit daft that. Scored a pen in extra time so I thought I got through luckily on a bug. Confusing rule. Cheers pal.

Away goals only count after 2 legs. Pre semi final of the league cup it's knockout, no 2nd leg, no replay so away goals do not count. Fa cup and semi final of League cup do include away goals (with the former coming via replays)
